AGM 2026/27

Last night we held our AGM for the 2026/27 season. As always we look to improve our league with proposals from the players to try and do the best for Dundee pool.

Firstly we are glad to be back to 14 teams as we welcome 3 new teams to the league (Mcgurtys RDP, Mcgurtys G & Shotz Uni).

We also would like to welcome Mark Mcgurty and Andy Luke to our committee.

Our major change this season has come with a format change. For the 2026/27 season our league & Cup format will be:
8 singles
4 doubles
4 singles
This is to add more games to our Tuesday nights to not have each week finishing so early.

We also have changed our 6/7 man rule from being able to use it 5 times down to 3 times. So that is 3 times in the league and 1 time in each cup.

Our individual comps will also start earlier in the year so that these can be spread out more throughout the season so the league side of things isn’t so much stop start.

Deadline for signings has been voted back to December 31st.

Any issues with venue closer will automatically mean a reverse to the fixture.

Any team who withdraw from the league at any point will mean all results and remaining fixtures against that team will be 16-0.

Sponsorship for our league this season is TBC as we have had 2 very generous offers and the captains are still discussing this matter with there teams which will then be voted on in the next week or 2.

Our league season will kick off August 4th and will finish June 1st. Our finals day will be June 5th. We will have free weeks for all teams on October 27th, April 6th & April 13th as this allows anyone on international duty not to miss out on any pool. We will also have a free week December 29th in between Christmas and New year.
