On Sunday 14 June, Dunfermline & Carnegie Cricket Club is proud to host Cricket Scotland’s Regional Super Series at McKane Park, bringing three exciting T20 matches to the heart of Fife.

With Scotland’s World Cup campaign also getting underway over the weekend, it feels like the perfect time to celebrate Scottish sport and support some of Scotland’s best cricketers.

We’re absolutely delighted that Cricket Scotland has chosen McKane Park as a host venue. Behind the scenes, there’s a lot of work going on to get everything ready, and we’re looking forward to welcoming players, supporters and visitors from across Scotland for what promises to be a fantastic day of cricket.

We did it… and now we go again 💙🏏

We are absolutely blown away (pun intended…) by the incredible support from our members, families, friends and the wider community.

Thanks to you, we have already reached our original £5,000 target to replace our storm-damaged practice nets at McKane Park.

This is a huge moment for the club and a real example of what can be achieved when our community comes together.

However, the impact of last year’s storms did not stop at the nets.
During Storm Floris in August, gale-force winds lifted our heavy cricket pitch covers and blew them right across the park.

As reported in the Dunfermline Press, a serious incident was only narrowly avoided thanks to quick-thinking local residents who stepped in to help.

These covers are essential for protecting the wicket and allowing matches and training to take place safely for both our junior and senior players. Unfortunately, the damage was so severe that they now need to be fully replaced.

For that reason, we have set a new stretch target of £7,500 so we can continue rebuilding and improving facilities at McKane Park.
Every donation, no matter the size, helps support over 100 players at our club and ensures cricket continues to thrive in our community.

If you can help us take the next step, please consider donating or sharing our Crowdfunder.

As 2025 draws to a close, we’ve been reflecting on what has been a truly exciting year for Dunfermline & Carnegie Cricket Club 🎉

From growing participation across the club to continued development of our junior and senior pathways, it’s been a year defined by momentum, ambition and strong community partnerships 🏏

One of the standout moments came recently at Dalgety Bay Sports & Leisure Centre, where new two-lane indoor hardball cricket nets were officially showcased as part of the launch of Cricket Scotland's Facilities Strategy consultation ✨

Delivered through a partnership between Cricket Scotland, Fife Sports and Leisure Trust and Dunfermline & Carnegie Cricket Club, the new facilities are already creating year-round opportunities for local schools, clubs and players across the area 🤝

It was fantastic to see pupils from Inverkeithing High School taking part in a coaching session with Scotland Men’s U19 Head Coach Keegan Russell, alongside young players from Dunfermline & Carnegie CC and Glenrothes CC a great example of what joined-up community sport can achieve 👏

Club President Dejesh Deenadayalan said:

“We’re delighted to be partnering with Fife Leisure Trust as we continue to grow cricket in Dunfermline and across Fife. We’re dedicated to driving participation and nurturing the next generation of players, offering a clear pathway for young talent to develop and succeed.
Following the success of two senior team promotions last season, this is a truly exciting time for the club, and this partnership marks the beginning of even bigger ambitions for the future.”

As we head into 2026, we’re proud of how far the club has come and excited about what lies ahead 🚀

Thank you to everyone who has supported us throughout the year; players, volunteers, partners and the wider community 💚

Here’s to building on that momentum in the year to come 🏏

💛💙
