One of our swimmers has lost a pair of blue goggles in the centre (left on Wednesday). If anyone has accidentally picked these up could you hand them into reception. Many thanks.

I was incredibly honoured to be invited to Barry Martin Day 2026 on Saturday.

From start to finish, it was such a special and inspiring day. What Shelley, Daniel and Oliver have achieved is nothing short of amazing. While navigating their own grief, they have chosen to turn their pain into something truly meaningful by helping other families who may be facing the same journey.

Now published authors, Daniel and Oliver have written and designed a growing collection of compassionate resources inspired by the loss of their dad, firefighter Barry Martin.

Beginning with Barry the Brave and Bazza Bear, each resource has been created to help bereaved children understand their emotions, encourage open conversations about grief, and remind them that they are never alone.

Their strength, kindness and determination are an inspiration, and I have no doubt these wonderful resources will bring comfort, courage and hope to so many children and families.
