🚨Kennoway 1 - 0 Pitreavie 🚨

This past Saturday the lads travelled to Cotlands park to take on Kennoway. First half we had plenty of opportunities but just couldn’t convert. At the break, we came out as a different team. Inviting the pressure from a good Kennoway team it was inevitable that they’d nick a goal. Disappointing result but loads of positives to take from this weekends performance. Braiden Symon stepping up to play in goals and having a very good game but also having Lucas Tait back in the midfield pulling the strings.

We move onto the next and wish Kennoway the best 🤝

🚨Pitreavie 3 - 2 Newport🚨

Tonight the boys took on a strong Newport side at Pitreavie. Going into the game off the back of a rough one the boys were definitely up for it and it prevailed. Pitreavie opened the scoreline as the ball breaks to James Syme out on the right hand side and he plays an inch perfect outside of the foot ball between the centre backs which Lennon Mowat latches onto and dispatches past the goalie into the bottom corner, 1-0 Pitreavie. After scoring their first confidence was at a high! After some good play between the front 3, Scott Wilson found himself on the edge of the box with the ball. After nutmegging a defender he proceeded to release an unstoppable strike that the keeper could only watch as the ball nestled itself in the bottom left hand corner, 2-0 Pitreavie at the break.

At the break, the boys started slow but continued to battle. Shortly into the second half Newport scored from the tight angle on the right hand side which nestled into the top corner, 2-1. This half wasn’t looking great and shortly after red card to our goalkeeper meant that the captain, Scott Wilson was stepping up to go in the sticks. Although it all looked like it was going downhill for Pitreavie, Matthew Mckinnell provides an impeccable ball which Lennon Mowat slots away to bag his brace and make it 3-1. With 10 minutes to play, Newport pulled one back making 3-2. A half of strong defending from everyone in the team but our back four of Chrissy Clifton, Scott Hadden, Matthew Mckinnell and Aiden Proudfoot battled until we got they 3 points so a mention is well deserved. Dylan Patersons work rate and effort throughout the entire game was second to none and played a crucial part of us winning tonight, loads of positives from tonight’s game. Well done to all the lads though, they continued to push through and dug deep to get a well deserved win.

We wish Newport all the best and we will continue to move onwards and upwards 🙌

Extremely disappointing result today for the lads. We just weren’t at the races today, we live and learn! We will move onto Tuesdays game against Newport.

🚨Pitreavie 2 - 2 Auchtermuchty🚨

The lads started off on the backfoot tonight against Auchtermuchty, some sloppy rushed play but as the game went on we grew into it. Dylan Paterson got dragged onto to the floor by one of their players which resulted in an indirect in which we weren’t able to finish, 5 minutes later Auchtermuchty went up the pitch and a player got dragged to the ground which resulted in a penalty. Auchtermuchty went 1-0 ahead soon after Dylan Paterson got played through by Max Carswell, he slots it in the bottom corner to make it 1-1. A mistake from the boys in Pitreavie led to a counter attack in which the lad from Auchtermuchty scored a screamer to make it 2-1 Auchtermuchty at the break.

Being 2-1 down at the break led to the gaffer making some adjustments bringing both Dylan O’Connell and Liam Mctier who made an automatic impact and helped us gain control of the game. A free kick from Matthew Mckinnell lands on the head of Scott Hadden to make it 2-2. Unlucky tonight from the lads, a draw was probably a fair result overall but we move onto Eastvale away on Saturday.
