2019-20 team had an enjoyable morning at Hillsborough football factory

It was a game of two halves for our 2009s this morning v Glendowan.

In a lackluster first half performance, we created very few chances and were deservedly 1-0 behind at half time.

To their credit, the lads showed more fight in the second half and showed glimpses of the quality of football that they are capable of. As a result, more chances were created and the lads ran out 3-1 winners.

The newly formed 2019/20s team played their 1st ever games last weekend and despite the torrential rain all the players had fun.

Last Saturday the colts got their season underway. For a 1st official game at 7v7 there could've been some nerves but definitely not from our young whites⚽️⚽️

Plenty of hard work, minutes on the pitch, smiles on their faces and goals ⚽️⚽️⚽️

Friday night saw us return to league football. Like some great teams our opening game didn't give us a positive result but more importantly the boys got playing football ⚽️⚽️

Our 2009s kicked off their season last night under the lights at Lough Moss v Carryduff Colts.

The lads turned in an excellent first half performance that put the game beyond doubt. Some excellent football from back to front ensured we took a well deserved 4-0 lead into the break. All four of the goals were well worked.

There were fewer chances in the second half but a professional performance ensured the result and a great long range finish added to our tally to see the lads run out 5-0 winners.

There were many contenders for man of the match after such a good performance but it went to Rhys who controlled our midfield and scored a fine solo goal.
