A fantastic 8-3 win away to Bishop girls this morning, took us around 20 minutes to open the scoring but once we did we didn’t stop banging on the door and could of easily won by double digits on another day. Some great performances and goals by Grace H (first goal in junior football) GG bagged another but could have had more, Harls finished her chance comfortably and of course Faye got her self 4.

Some great passing in behind from the two wingers Molly and GG to set up the goals, Molly hitting the post late in the 2nd half but she continues to cause problems.

Captains performance from Lily in the middle, receiving it and moving it, winning her 50/50s, arguing her teams fouls and offsides to the ref, organising the team. Lily received Girl of the game by bishop for this performance!

A couple great saves by Lexi in goal!

Special shout out to Parky who came back to play today, special player showing just how good of a defender she is, a big big miss when not playing.

And finally, this result shows why we will continue to push through the struggle simply because these girls are a special kind of team.

Credit to Bishop who are equally as struggling for number who only had 9 so rightly done I played 9 aswell, mangers who don’t do this are nothing but immoral, simple.

Whether you’re completely new to football, looking for a fresh challenge, or not getting enough game time where you are — you’re welcome at the Lionesses.

We’ve got a brilliant group of girls, supportive coaches, and a positive, committed environment where everyone can develop and enjoy their football.

🩷 Training: Mondays from 7-8
⚽ Matches: Saturdays in the RFYL @ Coxhoe (H)
📍 Location: Coxhoe

We also offer a great Chance at creating the pathway as we move on up in to open age eventually creating the womens team in the coming years. Then giving players long-term opportunities to progress through the club as they get older.

If you’re interested or want more info, feel free to message us — come along and give it a try! We are currently desperate for players.

Unfortunately today’s abit of a tough one to take, having to forefit a game because of lack of players.

It can’t go on, can it?

Looking for a sponsor to help fund the girls some new tracksuit tops. If anyone knows a company that will be interested please let me know!

‼️Desperately needed ‼️

Still in need of players. Please if you are looking for a new team, aren’t getting enough time on the pitch at your current club, looking to start playing football or had a long lay off from playing and what to start again please get in touch.

What we have here is good and we are just 1 or 2 players from being complete. 🙏

3-3 draw in the end, having the lead twice but credit to Washington who missed a lot of chances they didn’t let that get to them. Faye Green with Player of the match, done really well to get her self a hat-trick in a tricky game. Not to mention some absolutely perfect passes from Molly to set up those goals. Really pleased, it’s going to be a hard but rewarding season this season. Well done girls 👏🏻

Special mention to both teams goal keepers but most importantly Lexi our keeper, she’s improved ten fold and has saved her team mates so many times.

In a season where a lot of players are going to have to be playing positions maybe they don’t want to or like but they’re doing it for the team. I’m incredibly thankful to have a good bunch.

POTM - Faye!
