Many thanks to Jo for helping us arrange a visit to the Old Durham Gardens on 22 May for our Culture Companions members. The weather was kind and feedback from the group said it was a very informative tour in a very peaceful part of Durham. Some have already arranged a return visit 😀

This year we are reviving our Sunday Spring Walks to see local gardens and landscapes. The next walk, led by Martin Roberts, is on Sunday, June 8th and goes through the modern landscape of Newton Hall housing estate in search of the evidence for the eighteenth-century landscape of the great house that once stood there.

Meet at 10.00am on Carr House Drive. Please let Martin Roberts know if you are coming – [email protected]
