Fab in his first BYEH after only being in full work for 5 weeks 🙈 he was such a good boy

The 2026 season has started. Gilly had to step in as sub today when we found yogi sore from mud fever last night 😩. She wasn’t meant to start until next week but bar not running through her test she was luckily prepped in everything else. It was a relaxed day for a nice test, 1 down 👏 those that know gilly know it has taken some graft to get that 🤣 then a great clear Xc for 11th in amongst a section of 5* riders and Olympians.

We go into 2026 with a team of 10 🙈 a real mixture of ponies that are here for life that we jockey, youngsters to finish backing and to bring out and the bigger guns for eventing. Going to be a busy year 🤪

Jessica and Darcey at the Bsps 1a points party last night they brought back a great haul on 3 ponies. Jessica was also very honoured to win the Alan Hall memorial cup for recognition of her eventing achievements this season especially winning the BE spotlight award. Just shows how they can both move onto other equestrian sports and keep their toe into their showing routes.

HOYS 2025 over and out. Reggie proved once again that he’s a legend, treat him like a king and he will reward you with his best effort. So pleased we got him back and found Darcey to pilot him 👏. It’s been a lot more difficult trying to get Murphy back there with my own child for the first time 🙈 he has been kept on the road by his vet and blacksmith this year and having to take his pads out intermittently for qualifiers (they’re not allowed anything covering their sole, not great for welfare in my eyes) is not ideal but we got there and completed thank the lord 👏👏. Now time for a holiday

Well that’s the end to the 2025 eventing season 🥲 but they all finished really well, Casper came home with a win 🥇 Gilly jumped clear round her first 100 with Jessica and Yogi finished with a steady clear for some discipline 🤣
