Last but definitely not least… what a season for the Ladies 1s 🔥

After a tough finish last year, they reset, rebuilt, and delivered in style.

🏆 Top of the table
📈 6 points clear
💥 16 wins
⚡ +58 goal difference
⬆️ Promotion secured

There was an early change as the team said goodbye (for now) to captain Amy, as she welcomed a beautiful baby girl. Missed on the pitch, but for the best reason 🩷

New faces came in and made an instant impact, massive credit to everyone who stepped up this year. A special shoutout to our new goalkeeper Maisie with an unreal 12 clean sheets this season. While Maisie was keeping them out, Tania was putting them away… 34 goals in just 15 appearances 🔥

To those moving on, you’ll be hugely missed on and off the pitch. Thank you for everything Jeanie, Freya and Abbie you all made such huge impacts to the 1s 🖤💛

An incredible season, and now onto the next challenge as they head back into Yorkshire & North East Division 1 where they belong 💪

Men’s 4s end of season wrap up 👏

A strong season for the Men’s 4s, finishing 4th in YNE North East Division 4 Tyne with 13 wins from 23 games and a solid +12 goal difference.

It’s been a year built on a great mix of experience and youth. The juniors coming through have had a brilliant season, really stepping up and making an impact, while the old guard kept things steady when it mattered most 💪

Up top, Steve Dooley found great form as a striker, adding some real firepower, and across the pitch there’s been consistent effort and commitment week in, week out.

They also finished the season in style with a 6–0 win, a brilliant way to round things off 🔥

There are a couple of big changes heading into next season. Both Paddy and Mike are stepping away after everything they’ve put into the side over the years, and a huge thank you goes to them for all their time, effort and leadership 👏

Looking ahead, Antony Kav will be stepping in as co-captain as the team moves into its next chapter.

A great season all round with plenty to build on going forward 🙌

Our women’s 4s season roundup 💛

Going into this season, the 4s were still evolving so we didn’t quite know what to expect. But the way this group has come together has been brilliant. With a mix of new players and familiar faces, you’d think it might take time to gel… but it honestly felt like a team from day one. The energy, commitment and willingness to give it a go every single week has made this such a fun side to be part of.

We’ve also had incredible support from across the club, especially on those weeks where getting a full squad together has been a bit of a scramble. Whether it’s people stepping in last minute or cheering from the sidelines, it’s made a huge difference, so a big thank you to everyone who’s helped us out along the way.

A special shoutout goes to Michelle McGinley and Caroline Gibson as our most improved players this season. Having both picked up a stick for the first time this year, they’ve thrown themselves into it and have been brilliant in matches. The progress they’ve made has been so good to see.

We’ve had 12 goals come from right across the pitch this year, with Carly Dunn, Alice Flanagan, Charlotte Evans, Sophie Andrew, Maria O’Malley, Eleanor Gibson, Laura Sedden and Tess Wilson all getting on the scoresheet. But more importantly, it’s been a proper team effort every week, with everyone stepping up when it’s needed.

Before we wrap up, a big thank you to all the umpires and everyone working behind the scenes to support us, with a special mention to Ali Browbank, it doesn’t go unnoticed.

All in all, it’s been such a fun and rewarding season. The 4s have built something really special this year and there’s so much to look forward to next season 🤍✨

What a season it’s been for the Men’s 1s 💛

After an incredible first year finishing 4th in the YNE Premier League, the aim this season was clear… avoid second season syndrome and prove they belong at this level. Under new leadership from Will O and John B, the lads took on that challenge head on.

The first half of the season didn’t make it easy. A run of tough results, last minute goals going against them, and some seriously unlucky moments meant things didn’t quite fall their way. Five defeats coming from 68th minute winners says it all… margins were tiny.

But this group never dropped their heads.

The second half of the season showed exactly what they’re about. Big performances, big wins and proper grit when it mattered most. The 5-2 comeback against Harrogate, scoring five unanswered in just 12 minutes, was a standout moment. Backed up by a huge 3-0 win over Leeds Adel and a hard fought 2-1 victory away at Lindum, the lads proved they can compete with anyone in the league.

Finishing 9th with 4 wins, 4 draws and 14 losses doesn’t tell the full story. Week in, week out they were right in the mix, pushing teams all the way and showing the level they’re capable of.

Special mention to Ben M finishing as top scorer despite missing the first 8 games 👏 closely followed by Jarred, Matt and Connor. And of course, “Amy Winehouse” making her mark as one of the most effective (and entertaining) short corner routines going 😅

At the back, Will R was outstanding in goal all season, with Chris H in front of him putting in some serious defensive shifts… “the wall” for a reason.

A big thank you to Sam R for his coaching and commitment throughout the year, it hasn’t gone unnoticed.

Most importantly, the job was done. Consolidation in the YNE Premier League means another season at this level secured… and plenty to build on going forward.

This team has shown real character this year 💛
