🏏 RISIRA LAKVIN WEERASURIYA APPRECIATION POST 🏏

Well.. How do we even try to do this guy justice?

😐

First and foremost, on behalf of everyone at Evenwood CC, we would like to thank Rizzy for his outstanding contribution over the course of the 2026 season, playing a pivotal role in helping the club achieve a league and cup double. 🏆🏆

His numbers with the bat are outstanding, amassing 1385 runs in just 29 innings at 81.47, including five centuries. He also picked up 17 useful wickets and 18 catches along the way. A man for the big occasion he always found a way to make runs when the pressure was on including a vital half century in the Vinton Final.

Since completing his coaching badges over the summer, he has put countless hours into his one to one sessions with the juniors still giving throw-downs as the nights drew in.

Last but arguably most importantly, he is quite frankly one of the best blokes you could ever wish to meet in cricket and he is genuinely just great to be around.

Thankfully, just before he flew home, Rizzy put pen to paper for the 2027 season, and we will be seeing him back at the Randolph Welfare Ground soon. 🖊️ 📄

Go well back home Rizzy! 🏏

Thank you to everyone who helped and supported the Under 13s team last night.
An excellent win and another brilliant team effort, well done to all the players who took part.
They all have put in a lot of practice/training and it has paid off for them tonight.
I am so proud of what they have achieved tonight and how all the players have improved this season. 😎🏏Thanks Jeff
