Day two!! šŖš»
One of our favourite parts of summer school is sharing our work! Itās great chance to share what weāve been working on and build confidence. Today our brave Little Stars showed the Shooting Stars their āReach for the Starsā song and dance and serenaded us with a beautiful rendition of āYouāll be in my heartā ā„ļø
The Shooting Stars then showed us the brand new scenes they had devised that morning! The show is shaping up very well š
After we said goodbye to the Little Stars, the Shooting Stars took part in a creative yoga class, here we are doing some calm breathing and visualisation to manage those energy levels on a hot day š
The staff then decided to cope with a hot day in another way, with a post camp trip to the ice cream parlour! š¦
Roll on day 3 when we are joined by the amazing Hannah!ā¦.

The Greatest Show and the greatest day 1!
Our show is well underway after today! Weāve been working on our big showstopper finale and created some brilliant new drama scenes looking at different genres of performance š
Our Little Stars have been exploring the 90s, looking at toys, snacks, outfits and bands. They created time machines and learnt their āReach for the Starsā song and dance⦠phew!

Our Little Stars ⨠class is the first real step on your little oneās performing arts journey. Here their creative ideas are listened to, encouraged and developed though creative play and individual attention. We love our puppet pals in Little Stars: Daisy, Simon and Pirate Pickle Pants join in the fun and take us on magical, all singing, all dancing adventures.
Through informal sharings and our two annual performances, children are able to experience performing for an audience and proudly show off their skills. We have lots of fun with costumes and props and we finish every class with a disco, because who doesnāt like to dance like nobodyās watching? After this we award our āStar of the Weekā and finish with our calm goodbye song. As a Little Star, your child will leave class having developed their confidence, skills inperforming arts and their sense of self. They will also have rocked out some awesome dance moves and had a good giggle!
Building on skills from Little Stars, our Shooting Stars š« get really creative! We work with scripts to bring performances from page to stage, and devise original work from a stimulus. We learn jazz dance technique, the basics of choreography, singing technique and harmony work. With plenty of games, giggles and performances, watch your Shooting Starās confidence soar.
What your Shooting Star will develop:
ā Jazz dance technique and musicality
ā Script work and character creation
ā Devising original performances
ā Group work and stage craft
ā Singing technique and harmonies
ā Creative thinking and confidence
Shooting Stars will perform in original performances for family and friends at the end of each term, plus opportunities at local events.

Our Dance Divas šµ may be having a break for the summer, but that doesnāt mean weāre not busy behind the scenes preparing for their next world record attempt!
