And here we are again, our 7th ballet recital will take place this May at Hammersmith Academy Theatre. Rehearsals will begin after half term. Exciting news for our dancing family 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

This year’s recital is an extension of our previous production ‘In the Doll’s House’ and continues the story with ‘Whispers in the Garden’ following our dolls beyond the house and into an enchanted garden world ✨🧚🏻‍♀️🧚🏼🧚🏾‍♂️

Our biennial recital is always a special and memorable event for our dancers and their families and for many students, the highlight of the school year 🪴🍄✨💫⛲️🪏🗿🪷🪻🐟🐸🐝🐻🐇🌳🪾🌧️🌦️🌈

My sister and I on a recent visit to Nottingham, where our childhood dance memories began and we learned ballet in our early years with Miss Nora Morrison MBE, our influential and inspiring teacher🩰

We drove past our old ballet studio and saw a real loss for the community 😞😢 a disappointing decision by .

Grateful to teach an afternoon of pop-up classes in Manila over the Christmas break 🎄🩰 There was a lot of energy, joy and love for dance in the studio. Loved it.. ❤️ (One child asked, “Are you a lola?” 🤣 I must be looking old 🤣)

My passion is guiding young dancers with strong foundations, artistry and confidence, while supporting teachers through shared knowledge and mentorship. I hope I was able to offer a few tools and fresh perspectives to the gorgeous students and dedicated team at 🇵🇭 May your school continue to grow with the success you have achieved so far 💞

Loved connecting at our teacher meet-up after classes …. talking ballet class, business and everything in between 🩰

Until next time
Maraming salamat 🙏🏽

On New Year’s Day, my daughters, friends visiting from London and I visited the Ati Tribe, one of the Indigenous peoples of the Philippines 🇵🇭 on Boracay Island 🏝️ The Ati are known as the island’s original inhabitants, with a rich cultural heritage deeply connected to the land and community 🫶🏽

We were welcomed with beautiful singing, handmade garlands and a tour of their village. We shared lunch and Cadbury chocolates from back home. They were thrilled with their special meal 🥰

I didn’t think I would end up teaching an impromptu ballet class but I called the children into the space and together we danced in flip-flops, with smiles on our faces.🩰😊

Thank you to my mum and her charity, The Padua Charitable Fund, for donating the food and drinks. It was an emotional and wonderful experience spending the afternoon with the Ati Tribe….one I’ll never forget. ✨ Wishing everyone a New Year filled with more dancing, more kindness to others, more meaningful moments and more adventures around the world. ✨ #2026

This concludes our Autumn Term 2025 and it certainly hasn’t been an easy one 🥵 But my dancing family make it all worth it 💕

Amid all the nerves, excitement and BTS chaos, every candidate gave their very best. They should feel so proud of themselves and take a real sense of achievement from completing their RAD exams 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Thank you dancing family, for your wonderful support and hard work throughout the year. I’m wishing you all a magical Christmas filled with joy and a well-deserved break 😌

When we return next term, we’ll be diving into new grades and excitement for our big show… with the theme to be revealed soon 🤔💭🙇‍♀️

Our annual Crimbo ballet trip came early this year and what a treat it was! 🎄🩰

We attended the live screening of the Royal Ballet’s 🎀 La Fille Mal Gardée 🎀and were blown away by Ashton’s joyful choreography, Herold’s cheerful score, gorgeous sets and the dazzling performances from Francesca Hayward and Marcelino Sambé 💝💝

It was a night full of laughter, colour, and inspiration, perfect for our teenage students, ballet mums and all the ballet lovers who joined the AGSD ballet trip 🩰

Even though I wasn’t feeling 100% 😞 it was a wonderful start to my birthday celebrations with cake, flowers and great company 🎂💐

A huge thank you to 🎥 for being so warm and accommodating 🙏🏽we can’t wait for our next live screening! 💫

In the last few weeks we have focused on using notes to remember our exam dances - and they have absolutely loved writing and drawing 🩰👯📝 Drawing or noting down steps helps our young dancers: - Boosts memory and confidence 🧐
- Encourages independence 💪🏽. - Better understanding of the structure of the dance👍🏽
- Strengthens musicality and expression 🥰
- It’s a great tool 💯 for practising at home 🏠 and assists with videos of the syllabus work too 👏🏽. - Reduces nerves before exams by feeling prepared 💫

These little notes have worked so well for our children 😍 they return to class calm and confident, squealing with excitement after practicing at home ‘I know my dance Miss Angela ‘ 🫶🏽👏🏽👌🏽❤️
