Congratulations Sophia!
Sophia Robus is now officially member of the Great Britain adaptive team!
Co-opted onto the squad on the weekend for her achievements in competitions both in the UK and abroad and for being a big ambassador for adaptive judo.
She can now wear the union jack on her gi with pride.

Judo Demos!
James and Marlon spent Saturday at a local rugby club's summer social event, giving demonstrations to the players and letting them try their hand at judo.
A fantastic event and judo went down very well.

We are excited to announce that Keisen will be hosting a masterclass morning with GB super star • Ethan Nairne • !
Just called up to fight for England at the commonwealth games, Grand Prix gold medalist, British #1 and world #29.
Ethan will be coming to showcase some of his exciting judo across 3 classes covering all ages groups.
Guests are welcome but must book online via our website. Places are limited!

Lots of hard work with all the other top adaptive judoka in the country. They got to take part in sessions ran by GB judo legend .pt.

A massive day for the club on Sunday, with loads of our talented young athletes competing at the event in Crawley!
Incredible performances from every single player, with some players attending their first events and others picking up their first competitive wins. Our team got a total of 24 wins!

🏵️Full Colours! 🏵️
Last week Bethany attended the Sackville school sports awards evening and won the full colours award!
This award was handed out to the school's top athlete's competing in sports outside the school. She won it for representing her county, constantly winning medals and competing at a national level.
She was also 1 of only 5 nominated for the prestigious sports personality of the year award!
Thank you Sackville School for acknowledging her achievements and talent.

Intercounties 2026 ✴️
Representing their County of Sussex we had 6 players competing at the Intercounties team event over the weekend.
Heavyweight team: Amy Watkin, Mikael Hussain and Sienna Toms 🥇
Kyu grade Seniors: Bethany Riley, Alessio Gonzalez and Zoe Kellard 🥉
The Junior Heavyweight team only lost 4 out of a total 30, with our three players contributing 8 wins between them.
The Senior team was brilliant also, with Zoe fighting for the first time in years and winning with a brilliant arm lock, Alessio fighting up two weight categories and Bethany picking up more senior judo experience.
Well done also to James Draper the Sussex team manager for organising all the Sussex teams for the day and Tim Draper for assisting with the coaching all day.

Braydon is a Dan Grade!
On Saturday we had the pleasure of presenting Braydon Robus with his Dan grade.
A lot of hard work and determination went into this grade, a fantastic achievement that everyone at the club is incredibly proud of.
