"Nothing ever works."
It's something I hear on discovery calls all the time.
But when we dig deeper into what they've actually tried, the answers are nearly always the same:
Slimming World.
Weight Watchers.
Keto.
Atkins.
Intermittent Fasting.
And my personal favourite...
HERBALIFE.
It's always a FAD diet.
Then when we look at what they're doing right now, it becomes pretty obvious why the results aren't happening.
❌ Poor sleep
❌ Low daily movement
❌ A restrictive relationship with food
❌ Trying to do what worked 20 years ago instead of what fits your life now
❌ And my all time favourite... F**K ALL WATER
So let's be honest.
You haven't tried everything.
You've just tried different versions of the same miserable approach, packaged up with a different name and a shiny marketing campaign.
Fat loss doesn't need to be extreme.
It needs to be sustainable and realistic

"I'm going to train 7 days a week."
F**K THAT.
Every time someone tells us this, we tell them the same thing:
NO.
Not because we're lazy.
Because it doesn't work.
For most people, training 7 days a week isn't discipline.
It's excitement disguised as a plan.
And that excitement usually lasts about 10 days.
Then reality kicks in.
You're exhausted.
Your recovery is awful.
Your sleep starts suffering.
Your motivation drops through the floor.
And suddenly all the things that actually drive fat loss start disappearing:
❌ Tracking food
❌ Hitting your step target
❌ Drinking enough water
❌ Preparing meals
❌ Going to bed on time
Before you know it, you're sat on the sofa with a takeaway and a glass of wine saying:
"Nothing ever works for me."
When really, you just tried to do too much, too soon.
Instead, do this:
✅ Train 2-3 times per week for the next 8-12 weeks
✅ Eat in a calorie deficit (around 10x your bodyweight in lbs as a starting point)
✅ Hit 8,000+ steps per day
✅ Drink 2 litres of water
✅ Sleep at least 7 hours per night
That's it.
Nothing extreme.
Nothing miserable.
Nothing that takes over your entire life.
Just simple habits repeated consistently.
Because the people who get lean and stay lean aren't the ones doing the most.
They're the ones doing the basics for longer than everyone else.
Simple.
Effective.
Sustainable.

Why do you think your boss gives you targets to hit by a certain date?

Fat loss is no different.
If your goal is simply "lose weight this year", there's a good chance you'll keep putting it off until next week… then next month… then January.
