Another fantastic day for our 2018s, with the boys showing plenty of hard work, teamwork and some brilliant football across the teams! 👏

It was great to see the work from training transferring onto the pitch, with some excellent passing, movement, 1-2s, finding space, breaking defensive lines and tracking back. The boys were also showing a fantastic willingness to play wherever they were needed and supporting each other throughout. 💪

There were some really competitive games and, despite tired legs towards the end, the effort and attitude from the boys was excellent from start to finish. They should all be incredibly proud of themselves!

🏆 Joseph – brilliant tackling, hard work and some lovely passing and 1-2s.
🏆 Logan – worked incredibly hard, produced some great saves in goals and scored a brilliant goal!
🏆 Harris – outstanding defensive performance, winning tackles and 50/50s all day, capped off with a great goal!
🏆 Carter - outstanding playing today topped off with a fantastic goal

A special mention too for Ozzie on his Ravenscraig debut who played absolutely superb! 👏

The boys’ attitude at training on Tuesday and Thursday has been top class, and it’s fantastic to see that hard work showing on match days. Keep it up, boys!

Our 2020s got stuck in as only they can at fun 4s this morning. Well done to stars of the matches Matthew and Sean 🌟🌟 also well done to players of the week Theo. Great to see you back at training young man xx

A good weekend for the EK Caley 2017 boys.

Team Messi kicked off first. After a few weeks of slow starts and second-half comebacks, the boys reversed the norm today. In the first half, they were the best they have ever played and looked like an academy side. The press and shape were outstanding. The tackling was robust and beautifully timed. The passing and movement were a joy to see, and the finishing was clinical. In the second half, too many of the players wanted to play as individuals, and the shape was lost. Careless mistakes cost a few goals, but the team kept going to the end and got their reward.

A big thank you to Calderbraes, a great bunch of players and coaches, and another excellent match between two evenly matched teams.

Player of the week was Blair. All the boys were outstanding in the first half, but Blair was the only one to maintain his level in the second half. In defence, he won every tackle he attempted, blocked countless shots and crosses, winning possession for the team time and time again. In attack his passing and dribbling were excellent, and he launched numerous attacks. His best ever performance.

Team Ronaldo was at home too, but kicked off later in the day. Great team performance from Team Ronaldo today, they were comfortable throughout the game. The boys held their shape so much better, and it made a huge difference. Really solid defensively from the goalkeeper through the defenders, with the midfield tracking back too. Played some really nice football, and scored some excellent goals too.

Leo was the player of the week for some excellent passing and control of the ball. Leo worked hard to keep his shape in the formation, and up against the opposition's best player, he worked hard to influence the game. A beautiful touch and through ball earned him an assist, and he rounded off the performance with a goal too.

Also a special well done to our new player Jack T, who was player of the week on Thursday at training. Jack never stopped running and showed the improvements he has made in his short time with the team.

Wow. Fantastic response to our advert for more 2021 players. Full squad. New kids all did really well. Very hard working and great fun. Special well done to our star of the week Leo 🌟

What a fantastic morning for our 2018s! 👏 The coaches were delighted with the performances, with great teamwork, concentration, passing, movement and positional play on show throughout the morning.

There were some brilliant individual performances too, making the Players of the Week very difficult to choose! ⭐️

👏 Daniel– solid defending and some very brave saves when stepping into goals.

👏 Luca– an outstanding all-round performance, doing everything asked of him with excellent tackling, passing, movement and positional play.

👏 Thomas– excellent control, fantastic movement down the wing and a well-deserved Player of the Week.

👏 Cal– brilliant energy and produced some big moments when the team needed it.

A huge well done to all the boys — the improvement since returning from the summer break has been fantastic to see! 👏⚽️

Exciting morning for our footie mad 2020s. Great to have two players making their debut at Ravenscraig and doing so well. Stars of the week are so hard to decide with this lot. This week the honour goes to Zaidan and Lochlan 🌟🌟

So proud of our 2019 teams today. Showed resilience, restraint and character today. Special well done to our stars of the week Oscar and JJ 🌟🌟

A mixed day for the EK Caley 2017s

Great team performance from Team Ronaldo today in a fantastic game of football that finished honours even. Both sets of players gave it their all. The boys defended superbly and played some lovely attacking football. Player of the week could have went to anyone today but Isaac was awarded the accolade for his non stop running, defending and ability to get us up the park. Big thank you to NCC Blues for such an entertaining game of football.

Team Messi were just not at the races today and paid the price for a slow start. Behind by a few very early on the boys managed to secure the defence in the final 10 mins of the half and managed to grab a goal before half-time. A more even second half finished level as the boys began to play more like themselves, but still didn't quite reach their usual high levels. No team can be on it every week. The boys should still be proud of their start to this half of the season and move on to next week. Well done to Player of the week Harry. Harry kept going throughout the entire game and got a goal as his reward.
