🎾 WHAT A MATCH AT THE ROYAL TENNIS COURT

What a fantastic afternoon of Real Tennis as the RTC's new junior professional, Rhys Williams (8.7), from Melbourne, Australia, took on RTC pro Jack Josephs (9.2) in a thrilling RTO competitive match!

Rhys, who only took up Real Tennis two years ago, is already making his mark on the game. He's also a talented golfer, playing off an impressive handicap of +2!

Played off level, the match was contested over the best of three six-game sets, with RTC Club Professional Leslie Ronaldson as Marker.

🔥 And what a contest it was! Two incredibly tight sets, featuring several exciting restes, superb serving from both players and some outstanding tennis throughout.

With very little separating the two professionals, Rhys eventually edged ahead to take the first set 6–4 before battling through an even closer second set to secure a 6–4, 6–5 victory! 👏🏆

A sell-out crowd turned out to support our two up-and-coming professionals, creating a fantastic atmosphere both on and off the court.

With drinks, nibbles and plenty of conversation before and after the match, it was another wonderful RTC social occasion, bringing members and friends together to enjoy some excellent Real Tennis.

A huge thank you to Jack, Rhys, Leslie and everyone who came along to make the afternoon such a success!

🎾 The rivalry has begun – and if today's match is anything to go by, we're in for some exciting encounters ahead!
