🐲 What if martial arts was the thing that unlocked your child’s confidence, belonging and personal growth?

Congratulations to our Black Belts who levelled up today. It was great to be in the dojo with these legends today. We’re all stil growing, still learning. Several hours of karate and applications and sweat, lots of sweat šŸ’¦

As adults, especially busy women, it’s so easy for life to become work, responsibilities and routines.

Having somewhere to switch off, challenge yourself and be around good people is more important than ever.

For many of our Ladies Combat members, training has become more than exercise.

It’s become part of their week they can laugh with friends and genuinely look forward to.

Focus starts with good leadership.

Our Little Samurais learn by watching, listening and following positive examples.

Every class is an opportunity to develop concentration, discipline and the ability to stay engaged with the task.

These may seem like small skills, but they make a big difference both in school and everyday life.

Check out these young students giving their full attention to the Coaches and doing their best šŸ‘Š

ā€œI’ve been so looking forward to thisā€ our newest student, Katie.

That feeling of getting your first uniform IS EXCITING!!

The buzz of starting something new, being part of a community and having your outfit to match!

I think most martial artists can remember that feeling of getting home, putting on their uniform and loooking in the mirror - I know I can!

It’s easy to forget when you’ve been training for a while, but this is a special moment and every journey in karate starts with that first step and that first uniform.

Junior Leader and Instructor Training

Saturday we gathered together from all the dojos across the Academy for more Leadership learning and development with the teams.

Our structured programme gives our leaders the skills and confidence to support others and develop themselves with skills for life. And it is such a pleasure to see their progress.

Focus and Fundamental movement training šŸŽÆ
Sometimes we need to help our students learn to slow down and take their time.

Throwing and catching skills are vital to children’s development for gross motor skills, timing, balance, reaction to name a few benefits.

We added in super concentration for punches and kicks with the bean bags balancing on their heads, and these Little Samurias loved the challenge!

Children need these fundamental skills, not just for karate but for life. That’s why sometimes the biggest lessons don’t look like martial arts.

Teenagers NEED to train in Martial Arts.

Below i go into 3 reasons as to why I believe its so important that teenagers should be training Martial Arts.

Situational Awareness
Self Defence
Building Confidence

All three get developed within our classes and are vital in today's society.

As a parent who has a teenage daughter these things are so valuable for her.

With teenagers out and about more and more, we must give them the tools needed to live a happy and safe life.

Karate is the key, I know and have seen it so much for so many teenagers.

If you resonate with this and would like to get involved, comment below and we will book your teenagers in for a free trial.

Lets teach and empower our children and give them the best opportunities to enjoy their free time.
