A special place for nature and people.

Located in the Seven Sisters National Nature Reserve; home to Cuckmere Haven; stunning landscapes and wildlife, coastal views at the western edge of the famous chalk cliffs - icons of the South Downs National Park.

With sunshine forecast we are expecting to be busy this weekend, so plan ahead!

πŸš— Car parks will be busy with limited alternatives nearby. Hop on a bus to take the parking stress away.

🌊 High tide at Cuckmere Haven will be 10.02am and 10:56am, plan a safe route at the beach & river mouth.

⚠️ Stay at least 5m away from the edge and base of the chalk cliffs - no selfie is worth it.

πŸ’§ Come prepared with water, hat and sunscreen!

πŸ—‘οΈTake your litter with you! You'll find bins in our car parks not in the landscape.

Corporate Volunteers in action helping Rangers with outdoor tasks.

This session included pulling thistle and self seeded sycamore encroaching on the chalk grassland at Exceat Hill.

Huge thank you to our volunteers - we hope you enjoyed your day!

Regular surveying and recording helps us to monitor the success of our nature recovery and conservation work.

Our Rangers spotted in our dew ponds last week:

πŸ’ Newly emerged dragonfly
πŸ’ Water stick insect
πŸ’ Water boatman
πŸ’ Newt eft
πŸ’ Froglet

All really positive signs of healthy dew ponds!

The visiting beef bull has moo-ved into the dry valley with the cows and calves for summer grazing.

No selfie is worth getting too close to the livestock - they have bad days too!

Top tips if you are near grazing livestock:

~ Look out for signs on gates
~ Close gates behind you
~ Keep dogs on leads
