Jetsurf Waveriders

JetSurf waveriding heaven on medium sized waves at Nazaré. I must have rode 50+ waves in one hour on this day, it was truly epic and a fun session for me. Waves that were big enough to be scary, but felt quite comfortable to ride more aggressively; especially knowing that I had my - official DFI board under me, that I was wearing my Blue Soup Equipment inflatable vet and Rob Fowlie was providing safety cover for me on the Ski.

Thank you Jetsurfingnation for looking after my Ski and rescue equipment for the winter and thanks to you all for your help and support.

It’s not all about riding waves in Nazare, the preparation months ahead of time, the other skills to learn like riding a PWC whilst navigating big surf and meeting like minded people to share the experience with and learning how to work with them. I was really pleased with my winch attachment that I made for my 4x4 this trip, it was aimed at recovering the ski from the beach, but it turned out to be great for launching the ski in the harbour at low tide (luckily I didn’t end up on the beach with the ski this time 😂). I also had a great time teaming up with Rob Fowlie for towsurfing and for him to give me safety cover when I was JetSurfing. A strange edit here perhaps, but some great memories of the trip for me. I had a great time testing
the electric surfboard
for the 1st time in waves this February in
Peniche (Portugal). There were some
great fun sized waves that weren't
working for they surfers, but they were
perfect for a 1st wave test run for me on
