The Fountain Café

The Fountain Café The Fountain Café was established in 2006, and was operated from Wyvern College on Wednesday mornings up until March 2020.

A not-for-profit CIC whose purpose is to Build Community Together by being a welcoming space, offering affordable food & drink, providing work & experience to those with ALN, facilitating opportunities to volunteer and developing community partnerships. We have now become a Community Interest Company (CIC) in order to set up a not-for-profit Community Café. In partnership with Fair Oak Parish Council, we will have a new home at New Century Park, Shorts Road… we hope this will happen in 2023. Our guiding aims will be to provide quality affordable food and drink in a safe and friendly space. To provide work experience, employment and training for those with additional learning needs and to provide volunteering opportunities for the community. As the project develops, we hope to facilitate other community initiatives such as a Repair Shop, Men's Sheds, Arts & Craft Workshops plus others.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION IF YOU ARE VISITING THE CAFE TOMORROW!

The planned works to lay our new path have been delayed due to the weather today and it will now be happening tomorrow (Wednesday).

We will be opening as usual but access will only be available from the children’s play area and through the double doors on the patio. Our car park will not be available to use tomorrow.

We are really sorry for any inconvenience and hope that everything will be back to normal on Thursday!

Please also note that Brookfield Car Park is currently closed due to the work happening in the park.

Hi everyone. We’re enjoying the slightly cooler temperatures this week but it’s still very hot in the kitchen so we have decided that we won’t be serving Jackets this week… hopefully we will be back to normal next week.

The temperature inside the café is steadily building as the week goes on and so, for the safety and comfort of our customers and team, we are going to close at 2pm again today. The takeaway window will be open until 3pm only.
