🍃The ‘Story Weaving’ workshop🍃taking place this Saturday 29/8, offers participants the opportunity to find connection and reconnection - To self, to land, to our more than human kin and our place within the animate world. Through story weaving and making, we explore the idea that we are shaped by the land around us, and in turn, we shape and contribute to the places we inhabit.

For bookings:
- Jess @amerronacres or email jess@amerronacres.co.uk
- Prudence @leaf_eye_see_dragon_
to secure your place in the workshop this Saturday 29/8 from 11-3, places limited, *free admission*, 18+

🍃 What horses bring 🍃
With the horses as our guides and partners, we can notice how we communicate, relate and show up in the moment, receiving their honest and immediate feedback. Through gentle, experiential activities, we explore connection with ourselves, with others and with the horses — noticing what happens within us and what the horses might be showing us.

🍃 You’ll be invited 🍃 to weave and sculpt your own narrative using materials from the land, working with or beyond words. There is no right or wrong way to tell your story. You might use English, Irish, whispers of the wind, footprints left by a ladybird, equine imaginings — or simply the stories only your hands can make.

🍃Meet the facilitators🍃
Prudence Mary Trinca arrives here in Edale from the far flung unceded lands of the Boon Wurrung people inside of so - called Australia. Her work emerges from an active devotion to the living earth, waterways, sky-country & more than human kin with a sprinkling of breadcrumbs dropped by ancestors punctured by the unknown. Prudence carries intersecting Irish, Italian, English & Scottish roots.

Prudence is here from Australia 🌏 💚🧡
We are busy dreaming up a workshop for this Saturday... And running up that hill! (Mam Tor/mother mountain). Shout out to Kate Bush 💃

The workshop will explore connecting and re-connecting to self, the horses, the land and elements through story weaving.

It's free to attend, but limited spaces so let me know if interested. 11-3 Saturday 29th August Edale, Peak District, UK
It's going to be a lot of fun.

30 families, 52 kids visiting Amerron Acres... What a week. My heart is full 😍 Every year we team up with Sparkle Sheffield charity to welcome families with neurodivergent kids on a residential break The Peak Centre and Amerron Acres CIC . A safe, caring and non judgemental space where lots of fun and new experiences take place.
No photos to show from me- taking care of the energy, emotional and physical safety of the herd and so many people leaves little space for me to stop and capture the moments. But so many beautiful memories to take away.
This photo was when a dad had a mutual massage with Poppy and the only photo I took all week.
During these short family sessions it's like flicking a switch. From fear to joy (like the girl too afraid to touch a horse - beaming with a huge smile when she confidently sat on Harry 20 mins later). From distress to calm ("I've never seen him that calm before, he's always bouncing off the walls" having been bouncing and squealing feeding the goats just minutes before). From disconnect to connection (the boy in his own world making eye contact with the horses and me). So many laughs and smiles. Lots of emotional regulation and co-regulation.
All led by the horses and humans and guided through the process by me and Cathy. Every session an individual experience.
The horses are free to take part - or not. They have their voice and I've been juggling their needs throughout. Nothing can be forced.

Thank you to my wonderful volunteers this week. Couldn't do it without you. Thank you to the horses, goats, ducks and Peter the dog. We are very lucky to have this tranquil place to do the work we do. And thank you to the wonderful teams at Sparkle Sheffield and The Peak Centre
for bringing it all together. Also obvious thanks to the funders for investing in such a wonderful thing. Until next year!!

The difference between horses and goats. Started the day having a loving cuddle with Albert..
Then found Carlos on the wrong side of the fence, dragged the heavy steps to help him out. Only for him to eat trees!
Why did I get goats again? It's like I invite chaos!
