“We want to do tennis ball recycling, replanting, and to be more of a force for good in the community. This would be through our men's social group that's already underway, and court development to provide more opportunities for tennis play for all levels and abilities.”
- Neil Glasspool, House & Grounds Secretary

Our Crowdfunder Men’s Meet & Move reached its fundraising target of £4k in early February, which unlocked a further £4k of match funding from Sport England.
Meetings have started and active fun has been had, providing an opportunity for local isolated/inactive men to enjoy time together. Improvements have also been made to the appearance and physical environment of the clubhouse, as well as the purchase of new games equipment.
Thank you to our sponsors, members, and friends of the club for your support and donations.
Thank you to all players of the National Lottery for providing the grant from Sport England’s Movement Fund.

We are pleased to announce we will be introducing the “Men’s Meet and Move” group, to support local men who are Isolated &/or Inactive. This will be hugely beneficial in our local area and even further afield.
We are hosting fortnightly, Monday evening meetings at the clubhouse across 2026, providing the opportunity to form friendships and be a safe place to meet and talk.
The costs involved will allow us to:
•Improve the flooring and wash basins in the men’s toilet area.
•Install double glazing in the main room to keep in the warmth and reduce our Carbon footprint
•Invest in newer and more varied games equipment
•Provide free refreshments and possible visits out for the participants.
We need to to raise ÂŁ3,992 ourselves, to match the same we are pledged from Sport England if we reach that target.
