FUTURE COACHES - HEART OF MIDLOTHIAN FC - PLAY THE GAME

We are super excited to be welcoming 25+ Midlothian Council secondary school pupils aged between 14 - 17 years, with candidates selected from all 6 Midlothian secondary schools to our first Heart of Midlothian FC Community Coaching & Football Development Future Coaches training session this afternoon.

We are also delighted to be working alongside Midlothian Football and Dalkeith Thistle Community Football Club to support all pupils with their first steps into coaching & volunteering.

Over four weeks, aspiring S4–S6 coaches from across Midlothian will enjoy:

🎓 An introduction to opportunities within football coaching, Scottish FA Coach Education and sport

REGIONAL FOOTBALL PERFORMANCE PATHWAY

We are delighted to announce a one-of-a-kind, partnership between Midlothian Council Football Development and Coerver®️ Coaching.

This new program will provide a regional performance pathway for players who are schooled in Midlothian, providing a clear progression route for talented players from P4-S2.

Kicking off in September 2026, the pathway is designed to support players at every stage of their development, including a development and games program, whilst ensuring they continue to thrive within their club environment.
