The second semi of the open singles takes place Friday 12 June at 6.30pm at Sighthill BC between Beth Isbister and Alison Ward.
The known finals are shown below. Note times of games due to players playing in two disciplines.

Thanks to all clubs and the small army of volunteers who have made the qualifiers such a success.
Ladies U25 semis take place Tuesday 9th at Sighthill and West End alongside Gents semis and the final is at Carrick Knowe on Friday 12 June.
Get along and lend the ladies some support.

Apart from one singles tie that had to be postponed due to a medical emergency, we now have our semi-final line ups in the Gents and Mixed competitions.
Since Sunday I’ve been at Balerno, Parkside, Corstorphine, Ardmillan, Lutton Place, Bainfield, Colinton and Currie.
The standard of bowls has been excellent with many games going right down to the last bowl at the last end.
The semi-finals will take place over Sunday, Monday and Tuesday with raffle tickets being sold for the raffle at the district finals.
This helps to cover the cost of the buffet at the finals and our trophies.
Please remember to bring along a pound or two.
Again thanks to all the markers, umpires, club officials and those people responsible for sending in the scores.
And finally thanks to all the spectators.
You help to make the competitions special for the players.

Between the seniors this afternoon and the u25’s tonight I managed to get to Whitehouse & Grange, Colinton, Carrick Knowe, Sighthill and Currie.
The standard of bowls was excellent.
The draws for the competitions will be updated shortly and we move onto the open age competitions tomorrow night.
Thanks to all the host clubs, markers, umpires and persons responsible for passing on the scores.
It’s has been running smoothly so far. 👏🏻👏🏻

Congratulations to David Sutherland of Corstorphine Bowling Club on receiving a National Volunteer Award from Bowls Scotland
David has given more than 30 years of loyal service to Corstorphine, in particular and to bowling generally. He has served as President, Match Secretary and for the last 10 years Secretary. He has worked with 3 local Primary schools to introduce P6 & P7 kids to bowling. And he has been the driving force behind the Silver Bowlsmark award that Corstorphine holds.
He is a qualified coach, Child Welfare Protection Officer and occasionally wields a paintbrush to freshen up the clubhouse. Recently awarded honorary life membership of the club and now this national recognition on top has left David feeling overwhelmed and a little bit proud.

For those who do not know me, my name is Stephen Rollinson, and I’m an avid bowler at the most northerly bowling club on the British mainland. Based in the small town of Thurso, Caithness, Scotland, Thurso Bowling Club boasts over 170 members. For the past three years, I’ve been exploring the idea of manufacturing chalk spray within the UK, as I believe most existing bowls chalk sprays are made in China. After learning that import duties are quite high for products containing volatile liquids, I saw an opportunity to produce chalk sprays locally, cutting out these costs and offering UK bowlers a more affordable, homegrown option.
Starting this business was no easy feat, but three years on, we’ve created a chalk spray that outperforms existing chalk sprays on the market. After obtaining major investment, we developed a new valve design that boosts yield by over 50%, giving our bowls chalk an average of 650 sprays per can compared to the usual 425 from other brands. Working with a material testing lab in Hertfordshire, we also crafted a hydrophobic chalk formula that repels water, ensuring long-lasting, durable marks that can withstand even the toughest weather conditions..
We’re excited to invite individuals, clubs, and retailers to purchase our “Spot on Chalk Spray” from our online store at [www.spotonbowls.co.uk] We also offer great discounts for clubs and retailers interested in selling to individual players and members, with discount codes available on request. We’d love for you to check out what we offer and welcome any comments or feedback to help us grow our business.
I would be most grateful if you could share my post.
Kindest regards,
Stephen Rollinson. "Spot On Bowls"
