We don't need marvel to show us what super-humans look like, all we need to do is watch yesterday's London Marathon.
Some mind blowing stats from Sebastian Sawe yesterday.
Running is an incredible sport. Hopefully one day I'll be able to get involved in London instead of watching it from the comfort of my sofa 😅
Andrew Hodge Personal Training
I'm on a mission to help people find confidence in the gym, and happiness in their physical ability.
Training might not always be easy, but it should never be complicated!
If you just run slow, you'll stay slow.
If you run quick but for as little as 1-2km per week, you might get faster but progress will be slow as hell.
For most of us, a higher percentage of running volume needs to be done at a higher intensity than what we're led to believe.
This doesn't devalue easy running. It still has its place, and a very important one at that.
This is why we periodise training and have blocks where our focus shifts.
This is how we get the most out of "lower" mileage.

If your relationship with food is one of restriction or guilt, then this is for you.
I'll often joke that I'm happiest when eating.
Sometimes I wonder if it's actually a joke...
So I eat. A lot.
And this could become an issue for people. Loads of eating = loads of weight gain, right?
Not necessarily.
I train hard. I train to build strength and muscle. And I train to be able to run fast and far.
So instead of worrying about eating too much, I'm genuinely more concerned about not getting enough in to fuel sessions and recovery.
Couple this with the 80/20 rule where 80% of the nutrition is beneficial and 20% is pure want, I am genuinely fully satisfied and never guilty about what I'm eating/drinking.
