The Mid Associate Programme is for talented young dancers who show the potential and commitment to progress in their ballet training. Alongside classical ballet, students have the opportunity to develop their skills in contemporary dance, repertoire, conditioning, pointe work, and advanced technique.

Huge congratulations to Matilda on successfully auditioning for and gaining a place on the Junior Conservatoire Modern Ballet Programme! ๐Ÿฉฐโœจ

We are absolutely delighted for you, Matilda. We know how much this opportunity means to you, and we couldnโ€™t be prouder of all the hard work you have shown to achieve this fantastic result.

The programme is designed for talented young dancers who aspire to progress towards full-time vocational dance training and higher education study. Through intensive specialist training, students develop their technique, artistry, and performance skills within a professional conservatoire environment.

As part of the programme, Matilda will attend weekly Modern Ballet classes in Dalkeith, with the opportunity to further enhance her training through additional classes in Glasgow. She will also benefit from learning from experienced dance professionals and accessing a wide range of development opportunities, including ballet intensives, summer schools, and collaborative performance projects.

This is a wonderful achievement and a testament to Matildaโ€™s commitment, determination, and love of dance. We are so proud of you and can't wait to see where this exciting journey takes you.

Congratulations, Matilda ๐Ÿ’™โœจ

On Saturday, we said a very emotional goodbye to our wonderful Jude ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ˜ข

As many of you know, Jude will begin her probation year in August as a Primary School teacher, taking on a class of her very own. We know she is going to be an incredible teacher, inspiring and nurturing the children in her care just as she has done with so many of our dancers over the years.

Itโ€™s difficult to put into words just how much Jude means to us. She has grown up at Phelan, and it has been a privilege to watch her journey from a young dancer to the amazing teacher, role model and beautiful young woman she is today. Jude has the kindest heart and a warmth that makes everyone feel welcome. Her gentle nature, patience and genuine care for every child have made her so loved by our dancers, families and teaching team alike. She has been such an important part of our dance school family, creating countless memories and touching the lives of so many along the way.

Jude, thank you for everything you have given to Phelan over the years. Thank you for your dedication, your kindness, your support, your laughter and the love you have poured into our school. We are incredibly proud of you and all that you have achieved.
Although we will miss you more than words can say, you will always be part of the Phelan family, and there will always be a place for you here. ๐Ÿ’™

Wishing you every happiness, success and adventure as you begin this exciting new chapter. We know your lucky P1 class is going to adore you.

With lots of love,
From everyone at Phelan ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿผ xx

โœจ Congratulations to all of our incredible dancers who performed this week in the Broughton High School Specialist Dance Show! We were so proud to watch you all shine on stage. ๐Ÿ’™

From P6 right through to S6, it has been wonderful to see so many of our dancers involved in the programme. Watching friendships grow, confidence flourish, and a shared love of performing develop over the years is something truly special.

A very special mention goes to Amy as she took to the stage for her final Broughton show. Receiving your award last night was such a proud moment and a reflection of the remarkable young woman you have become. We couldnโ€™t be prouder of you!

Well done to Ella for showcasing her S5 choreography. It was fantastic to see your creative vision come to life in โ€˜Aladdin the Musicalโ€™ and so lovely to watch both your school friends and some of our Phelan girls perform your work on stage.
