Massive congratulations to Alison Ward! She won the EBA Ladies set singles last night against Hillside at Slateford 👏👏

National Qualifiers update

Sadly our representatives fell at the final hurdle in their quest to get to Ayr.

The Mens Pairs on friday were beaten by a formidable duo from Carrickknowe.

On a cold and windy Saturday afternoon, the Ladies over '55's were beaten by 1 shot.

On a basking Sunday night, our mixed pairs put up a great fight, with some top class shots, but Ayr just eluded them.

Hopefully they can use this years efforts as a benchmark for next season and make the final step to the Nationals.

Still, congratulations are in order to all the players.

BS District 15 Ladies Finals

Congratulations to the Ladies Senior 4s that have reached the Final, on Saturday 13 June at 2pm, Carrickknowe.
Rink Julie Fairgrieve, Helen Mackay, Ann McKenzie & Isa Wilson.

Also congratulations to Alison Ward who will play Beth Isbister in the Ladies singles semi final tonight Sighthill at 6pm.

SCOTTISH TIE UPDATES

Congratulations to Murray Brown and Craig Patterson on reaching the Pairs final.

Their tie is at Carrickknowe BC this friday, 12th June at 18:30.

Also, Congratulations to Heather Stoddart and Murray Brown on reaching the Mixed Pairs final.

Their tie is at Liberton BC on Sunday, 14th June at 18:30.

The Ladies Rink of Julie Fairgrieve, Helen McKay, Ann McKenzie and Isa Wilson also reached the final and are at Carrickknowe on Saturday the 13th June at 2pm.

We hope that as many Bainfield spectators as possible can make their way to either or both venues to support our players.

We, as a club will have fingers crossed and hope a wee day out in Ayr is on the horizon.

AGM UPDATE

Following yesterday's AGM Gerry Walker is your 2026/2027 Bainfield president.

Bainfield wishes him all the best and is looking forward to see what great things follow after taking on this role again.

Annual General Meeting

The 2026 AGM will be held this Sunday 24th May 2026 at 11am in the Bainfield Suite.

All members are encouraged to attend.

The Ladies Indoor Afternoon Tea and Prizegiving on Sunday 3rd May at 2pm is now CANCELLED. We apologise to those who were signed up to attend but this is due to the low number of attendees.

A massive congratulations is order! Well done to Crystal Roberts, Paul Clapperton and Robbie Anderson for representing Scotland the last couple of days down in England. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏆

All 3 played a part in defeating England and Wales showing determination to get over the line by such fine margins. All three players are an absolute credit to the club. Well done Crystal, Paul, Robbie and team Scotland 👏
