NEW GYMNASTICS BLOCK: HANDSTANDS
Starting this Saturday 25th February at 8:30am
After a great effort on muscle ups during our last cycle we are tackling all things upside down in our next block including handstands, handstand walks and handstand push ups.
If you want to learn how to improve your inversions and get walking on those hands then be sure to book in NOW!

DELOAD
It’s deload week after our stunning test week last week where there were PBs across the board for our committed athletes.
Well done for all their hard work and dedication 👏🏼
Now we rest up and go again ahead of the 2023 Open and new Spring Cycle 🎉
But wait. What is a deload?
A deload week is a planned period of reduced training intensity, volume, or both.
It is a rest week that is usually incorporated into an overall training program to give the body a break from the demands of training and allow for recovery to take place.
It is important to incorporate deload weeks into your program as it allows for your body to adapt to the increasing demands of training and can help reduce the risk of injury.
Get good quality sleep
Fuel and hydrate
Move your body

✋🏼 Tips to Better Recovery.
With the Crossfit season fast approaching, no doubt the volume and intensity of your training is on the up.
From weightlifting to gymnastics to conditioning, everything is being put to the test, and no doubt you’re feeling it.
To help give you the best chance at success, you need to recover as hard as you train.
So here are our top tips to get make the 1% difference:
1. Start with getting enough rest. Aim for 8-10 hours of sleep each night and take naps when possible/necessary.
2. Eat healthy. Focus on foods that are nutrient-rich and have anti-inflammatory properties such as fruits, vegetables, and lean proteins.
3. Stay hydrated. Drinking plenty of water will help your body replenish lost fluids and restore balance.
4. Move regularly. Incorporate low-impact exercises into your routine to help support your gym training.
5. Find ways to reduce stress. Take part in activities you enjoy, connect with friends, and practice relaxation techniques such as deep breathing and meditation.
Even the smallest habits make a big difference, so start with one and dial it in to give you the best chance of smashing your goals!

Set a Standard.
It’s the 4th week of January (nearly there!)
How are your 2023 goals and targets going?
How you spend these first few months of the year will set the tone for what will become your norm.
Whether it’s training 4x per week, drinking more water or reading every day - set the tone for what you see for yourself in 2023 and beyond.
Be clear on your WHY and adapt your pre-existing routine to suit your new schedule.
It doesn’t have to be drastic or remarkable.
Train before work? Set out your clothes the night before anCaner # to eat better? Cook some delicious dishes for meal prep.
Sleep better? Limit screen time before bed.
Planning is 🔐 here. Get organised and you can’t fail.
But what if you do falter a little?
Learn not to judge yourself or feel guilty and instead focus back on what you can control.
It doesn’t matter what you do on one day, it’s consistency over time that makes the difference.
Choose something small and roll with it.
