I’m in Japan. It’s amazing. However. I had an invitation to Tenri University dojo but the trains were cancelled because of the typhoon. Gutted. At least I didn’t get the beating I was expecting. But now the flight home is cancelled. I may have to stay here and actually learn Judo.

Just a quick note to say that the Christmas randori session is on Christmas Day at 10 am.
An excellent opportunity to get away from the hoovering and other such nonsense and work up a good appetite for the turkeyfest.

Rio 2016

Kenkas' olympic journey began in the Vidigal Favela near Ipanema Beach. We met some judo legends and Billy Cusack. Andy cried when Sally was on the podium.
We enjoyed the construction site gym of our hostel and took in the graffiti art of the favela. Thanks to George Kerr, Yoko Tanabe, our BJA brothers and everyone who made it a great trip.
Onwards to Tokyo 2020.
