Further to our earlier post, Scottish Golf have confirmed that the Competition Account top up problem being experienced by Android users has been fixed in the latest release of the app. Hopefully this hasn't been too much of an inconvenience for our members entering the Summer Meeting. We look forward to seeing you there!

This meeting is also our first ‘Alternate Day’ meeting where we are trialling a weekend date in addition to the weekday date. If the weekend suits you better, please make the most of the opportunity 🙂.

The Inter Club semi finals and final were today at Murrayfield GC. MCLGA would like to congratulate the Baberton team of Karen Marshall/Nicky Graham and Rachael Livingstone/Ella Marshall who regained the trophy after a very close and nail biting match with Turnhouse. Best of luck to everyone next year at Musselburgh.

16 of our member clubs are playing in the Inter Club tournament this week at Murrayfield GC.

The Inter Club is a knockout tournament in which each team of four is split into two foursomes pairings. Each pairing plays its opposite number, and the overall match result is decided by combining the scores from both pairings. The format results in some very tense moments! 😱🍿

Best of luck to all of the teams playing! Tonight’s matches start at 4pm, with matches also on Thursday and Friday evening, then the semi final and final on Saturday.

Our 2026 Championship concluded today and our congratulations go to:

- Championship winner 🏆 Louise Fraser, and runner up Kate MacIntosh.

- 'B' Championship winner 🏆 Cecilia MacIntyre, and runner up Jean Inglis.

Well done also to all our semi finalists Rachael Livingstone and Caroline Steedman (Championship), and Ann Brown and Gillian Pritchard ('B' Championship), who just lost out on a place in the finals in some hard fought matches.

Our sincere thanks to the team and members at Duddingston Golf Club who welcomed us so warmly - it was a real pleasure to bring the Championship to a club with such a rich golfing history.

Our thanks also to everyone who helped the week run smoothly:

- Volunteers on the desk assisting with phone setup.
- Officials managing entries and draws.
- President Fiona de Vries, for tee announcements and presenting prizes.
- Sheila Stuart, Past Captain and President, for refereeing the Championship final.
- And of course, all the players and supporters who make these events so enjoyable.

Huge congratulations to the Scottish Senior Women’s team who won the Mary McKenna Trophy yesterday against the Ireland Senior team at Royal Portrush.

Fantastic to see MCLGA talent contributing to the win, with Louise Fraser, Hilary Laughland, and Karen Marshall all playing, ably supported by SSWGA Vice President Sal Shepherd. Well done ladies!
