Hello again! We're hosting our Annual General Meeting next week at 1pm on April 1st! Despite the date this meeting isn't a joke - we'll be running applications for our committee positions over the next week or so and we'll be voting on these applications at the AGM.

If you want to run the society or take an important role within it, then feel free to apply! If you have any questions regarding the application or the society, please get in touch with us for more information.

We encourage any member interested in this to fill out the application linked at the top of this post, and if possible come to the AGM next Friday at 1pm. Details regarding where the meeting will take place will be shared at a later date, but it'll be online for sure. We hope to see you there!

Back for another night at the Shandon Snooker and Pool Hall from 6pm onwards £3.50 as usual. We'll be at the snooker tables, see you there!

UPDATE: We found a team member and assuming nothing changes we're going to the Scottish Universities Snooker Championships event!

Hello everybody, and Happy New Year (even though its a bit late)! Whilst we're still doing our events, we've also been invited to a Scottish Universities Snooker Championships event hosted by Glasgow University's snooker club!

The event is currently scheduled to take place on the 29th of January from 11am onwards.

We are looking for one more person to join our team for the event - if you're interested, send us a DM on Facebook or Instagram or contact Drew Tomkins on either platform before the 22nd of January. If you want to represent the society or take part in a snooker competition, feel free to get in touch with us!

Unfortunately, todays session is off since none of the committee members can make it today 😔

We'll almost certainly be back next week but in the meantime here's some interesting things to take a look at:

On the 19th of November, are hosting a darts tournament! This is a fundraiser for Movember and the money goes to a really good cause so if you want to raise funds for charity, represent the society or just want to have some fun then please consider signing up for it. For more information, go to the HW Sports Union social media pages.

Aside from that, the Student Union are also doing their Big Ask survey again this year. This lets you provide feedback to the Student Union and gives you the chance to win a £200 cash prize! Go to https://www.hwunion.com/bigask/ for more details on that.

With Halloween having just ended, there won't be any frights tonight at the Shandon Snooker & Pool Hall - just snooker and darts for £3.50. We'll most likely be at one of the snooker tables or dartboards if you're looking for us.
