Yoga Tots is a unique baby and carer yoga class. Our classes are suitable for babies from birth until around 6 months.
With specialist classes designed to promote bonding with your baby while stretching, strengthening and toning your body and restoring a sense of well being and calm for your mind Yoga Tots was founded by mums Gill and Sarah who recognised the importance of taking time just to "be" with your baby in, what can be, an extremely challenging time when your baby is born. Our classes aim to ease mums bac
k into exercise gently after the birth of their baby, offering gentle stretching, strengthening and toning of the body. They also provide an opportunity for babies to stretch and expand their range of movement, offering a different environment to the confinement of car seats, high chairs, buggies and so on. Our classes offer comprehensive stimulation of the senses together with movement and rhythm that babies need in order to get the best experience and learning. Research has shown that babies respond positively to the stimulation of movement and touch together from birth and this is recognised within our classes. There is no need to have practiced yoga or even to know anything about yoga to get started - everything you need to know will be carefully explained to you at the classes. All caregivers are welcome to attend, the classes are not restricted to mums.
