Super productive 4 month Recomp from client and good friend Sam ๐ช๐ (he doesn't have IG๐ฎโ๐จ)
Our big focus these past 4 months has been to pack on mass without impacting his athletic ability or accruing too much fat massโ๏ธ
Sam always felt his chest genetics limited his pec growth, and subsequently limiting his ability to improve his pressing movements, but after fine tuning his form and programming plenty of lengthened position movements and taking advantage of plenty of pause reps.
We took his bench from 37.5kg x 6 > 60kg x 5 (for pause reps) ๐บ๐ฐ
Now the aim is to strip back on calories and reveal the well earned off season gains in time for his vegas trip in October ๐ค

LOCKDOWN PROGRESS ๐ค๐ฅ
This one makes me very proud ๐knowing how much has committed and invested over the last 4 months, given the limitation with her knee, makes this insane development in body comp as well as physical ability (gone from no running, to running x2-3 per week) so much more rewarding ๐
The initial goal was to get ready for her wedding and to feel confident in her dress. We went the extra mile, and got her feeling the confidence to wear a low waist bikini for the first time in years for her Portugal holiday ๐
An incredible transformation, and plenty more time before the big day ๐ amazing work Lou ๐

Once you have built a house, how much work does it need to be maintained? ๐
Not much, right?
The same rule applies for your physique ๐ช
If you have implemented the right lifestyle changes that coincide your fitness goals and your day-to-day life, then half the battle is already won ๐
The main issue we face at the minute is training intensity dropping due to gyms being shut, therefore energy expenditure is less than it previously was, but this minor drop can be made up for in other areas I.e. reducing calories slightly, or implementing more cardio in the form of low intensity runs, cycles, or tracking your daily steps move vigorously ๐โโ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธ
As for muscle? Your muscles have a very clever way of re-adapting to stress they have previously experienced. You might experience a temporary drop in strength but if you are still stimulating these areas and not completely neglecting them for months on end, they readjust quickly ๐จ
Half the battle with physique based training and nutrition is finding balance, and understanding that if you can maintain your current nutrition habits without strain, and can adapt your training routine to keep your muscles ticking over? you will NOT regress ๐

Massive 12 weeks in the books for
Client ๐
With time being a huge limiting factor as she works heavy hours from home, as well as having a fee minor GI issues and being limited on certain exercises due to a recurring hip injury, I'm super proud of the progress she has made during this recomp phase ๐๐ฅ
No difference in weight between to two pictures but a clear indication of fat-loss from definition and shape change, superb effort Jen ๐

This is yet another amazing example of how you can achieve your fat-loss goals with limited equipment, time, and resources โ

Very irritating we couldnt bring the final product to stage, but I have to say the pride and respect I have for BIOstrong online client for pulling this out the bag, is indescribable ๐

Starting Billys cut in November (left), we took the approach of coasting into a smooth calorie depletion to retain as much tissue as possible, and to minimise his rate of training fatigue ๐ง
A couple months out from show this was his condition โ๏ธ Dropping only 4kgs over 5months and bringing that level of lean mass is insane
Next year is going to be something special ๐ฅ
Been an honour sir. Bring on 2021๐

Long overdue appreciation post for BIOstrong client Tom ๐
Tom came on board when he was between a rock and a hard place. Making time to train between jobs and college was tough, but the passion for self development was never something that needed to work on ๐๏ธโโ๏ธ
Tom's goal was to build muscle and regain confidence in his abilities in the gym, and to say he went above and beyond that would be an understatement ๐ฅ
Always implementing what we discuss would be the best next move, and always pushing himself with the limited time available, it's fair to say he didnt just gain a little muscle, he gained A LOT๐ช
