UPDATED CLASS SCHEDULE

For our third semester (starting tomorrow 20th April) we will be introducing two new dance styles on Mondays; Hollywood Lindy and Laminu!

Hollywood Lindy is a 'dialect' of Lindy Hop that was (and is) common in California. The stance and timing are different, and it's a very fun style to learn for anyone familiar with Lindy Hop.

Laminu is a dance from 1940s California that evolved to fit slow music and crowded ballrooms. It is a close-hold dance, so dancers will need to be comfortable with that, but it can make navigating tight spaces on the dance floor easier as well as give you a chill option for when the music slows.

Saturday classes will be workshops each week with more information to come, and Sundays will still be Solo Jazz but will not run every week due to limited availability of teachers. Keep an eye out for more info on that.

IT'S AGM TIIIIIIIIIIME!!!!!

Interested in being part of the committee? Want to take an active role in the society’s future? Or do you just want nachos? Either way, come to our AGM!

Monday 23rd March is our AGM and every position in the committee is up for grabs! Check the slides for the available roles! No need to decide now; you can turn up on the night and throw your name in then if you like!

The AGM will be held at 9pm, after class and at the start of the social hour, after which we will provide nachos!

We need a certain percentage of our membership to be there, so come along, cast your vote, and eat nachos!

Our safe spaces officers and first aiders are here to make sure
that everyone is safe during the event. They will be there for

The Masters of Swing stream is aimed at students who are newer to dancing and are familiar with some of the classic vocabulary. You may regularly take classes in Lindy Hop and you’re eager to consolidate and expand your knowledge of moves, rhythm and musicality. You mostly feel comfortable on the social dance floor, but you may find fast tempos, crowded floors or improvisation challenging. If you can connect with a partner and are familiar with some of the basic figures like Lindy circles, Swing outs and Charleston steps, this degree may be for you. Get ready to boost your skills and dance all weekend!
