Sin Gwang Dojang has long been part of the UKHGA family, and we are proud to present its new official dojang logo.

Sin Gwang (신광) translates as “New Light” — representing renewal, clarity of purpose and continued progress in the Way of the Sword.

Beneath, the crossed swords reflect commitment to the Korean Sword Art of Haidong Gumdo — upheld with discipline, precision and integrity.

This emblem does not mark a beginning — but a strengthening.
A renewed light.
A sharper edge.
A stronger identity.

As we close out 2025, we would like to thank all Masters, instructors, students and families across the United Kingdom Haidong Gumdo Association for their continued commitment and unity throughout the year.

We also extend our sincere thanks to Master Han, Head of the EUHGA, Master Lee, EUHGA Technical Director, and all members of the EUHGA for their ongoing guidance, support and shared dedication to the growth of Haidong Gumdo across Europe.

We wish you all a peaceful, healthy and well-deserved festive break and look forward to seeing you in the New Year as we continue to grow together.

A fantastic turnout for Saturday’s UKHGA Seminar!

What an incredible day of Haidong Gumdo training, energy, and community spirit. Students and instructors from across the UK and Ireland came together for a packed seminar led by, European Technical Director Master ChulKyung Lee and UK Head Master Harry, working hard across fundamentals, principles, and technique refinement.

It was great to see both old and new faces attending — your dedication and enthusiasm made the day truly special.

A special thank you to Master Lee for his guidance, expertise, and unwavering support in helping us continue to grow Haidong Gumdo across the UK and Ireland.

Thank you to everyone who attended, supported, and brought such positive spirit to the dojang. Days like this show the strength and unity of the UKHGA — growing together, learning together, and pushing the standard of Haidong Gumdo forward.
