Absolutely fantastic turnout for 2026 Welcome Week! It was amazing to welcome so many fresh and familiar faces onto the mat this year, with some great socials, energizing sessions and new friends on the horizon. A massive warm welcome to our new jitsuka joining the club this semester, we can't wait to train with you 👊🏼🔥

To anyone who missed Welcome Week, not to worry! We run open sessions at Edinburgh University on Wednesday and Saturday open to all (check pinned post for details), so bring your friends, a bottle of water and a Can-Do attitude and you can try out Jiu jitsu anytime :)

Training kicks off for the new year week beginning the 14th of September! And guess what? There’s a new session added to the calendar! For our Yellow belts and above there will be an extra session on a Tuesday evening :)

We’d love to see some new faces as training starts back up in September, so keep your eyes peeled for the details of our taster sessions and events coming out over the next week. Can’t wait to seee you all on the mat!

Celebration is in order on the mat this week as we celebrate two massive achievements! :D

Sensei Carola accepted her brand new brown belt after her fabulous success at this weekend's Brown and Dan grading! 🤎

And Sensei Georgina earned her Hakama! (and even managed to get them on, despite the evil machinations of stitching and baffling fabric construction) 🖤

We're so lucky to have such an awesome team of Senseis, so here's to an epic summer of training and getting even more fantastic achievements under our belts 👊🏼 :)
