Eccentric Flamingoes

Social cricket club from Edinburgh. Hit out or get out! Generally the Flams play what masquerades as cricket on a Thursday night in Inverleith Park in Edinburgh.

We are a club with players of various abilities, from beginner to players playing in the East of Scotland Association Leagues. We play against a number of different clubs, of varying ability, but ultimately we aim to have fun...and a beer in the pub afterwards. We play 'Woodcutter' rules: Every player bowls 2 overs, all batsmen retire at 25. This ensures that everyone is involved. If this sounds like your sort of thing, please contact us. [email protected]

Our version of the Ashes as Flams start 2022 with the annual New Year's game. A socially distanced 4 fer for Georgie Henderson...in that the batsmen decided to be well distance from the bat and stumps! A lot of fun had. Great to see getting involved too.

A cracking day at newfield with Flams and a few friends. Georgie's team overcomes Paddy K's team in a last over affair. We are just happy Kerzo didn't need to bowl! Great start to 2020.

The Eccentric Flamingoes Club Dinner will take place on Friday 9th November, 7pm for 7.30pm (or early at one of the many Leith drinking establishments). The Queen Charlotte Rooms is the now traditional venue for this must-attend event. Black tie or Finest Feathers as usual.

Speeches, fines, food, wine*, port and the normal chaos will no doubt be in existence. We may even see some Woodies and Inchcolmers too!

We are 150 this year, but ticket price has not been adjusted for the appropriate inflation - £30 it is. Please pay £30 for your ticket asap to the EF account (details on request) to ensure your attendance and let us know you are coming by return or on the website/Whatsapp group.
