Is there something wrong with me?
What am I doing wrong?
Are my standards too high?
These are the top three questions asked by career-focused, independent women who are winning in life, yet feel they are failing in love.
Maybe you’ve asked yourself these questions too?
It’s easy to believe any one or all three of these stories when you are so clear on what you want in love, yet it continues to be a struggle to find it and keep it.
The good news? Equal, healthy love does in fact exist, and it’s available to even the most independent women! And you don’t have to compromise your desires, sacrifice who you are, or give up on your dreams to have it, either.
You DO, however, need the right skills.
Finding your match and growing a lasting, loving relationship isn’t some destination to arrive at, but rather a practice that is refined throughout your life.
To help you discover how independent women find and keep healthy love, and to hone your dating & relational skills, I’ve teamed up with over 20 love & relationship leaders in an all new speaker series that is designed for independent women just like you; so that you, too, can have the mutually committed relationship your heart desires.

Last December, my husband and I decided to foster a dog…a rescue organization we’d worked with before took on several dogs from an overcrowded shelter.
Once we saw how these organizations were struggling to find foster and adoptive homes for all the pandemic pets, we knew we had to help!
It wasn’t our first foster pup rodeo. As experienced former foster parents, we thought we knew what we were in for.
Let’s just say life with Tripp is a great reminder to stay in the present. He’s 70lbs of unbridled joy and athleticism, with a flair for whimsical destruction… 😎
One of the best things about Tripp is he shows me the value and importance of playing (whether I want to or not).
It’s easy to become disconnected from what brings us joy and pleasure. The worst part is, the farther we get from what delights us, the harder it is to find again.
Play, joy, and pleasure are all key parts of maintaining a healthy life balance! They’re vital tools to manage stress and keep you energized, empowered, and engaged.
What are some of your favorite strategies for maintaining a playful attitude throughout your days?
Or, if you haven’t adopted this habit already, just think of *one* simple, enjoyable thing to add to your day.
There is value in the small gifts we give ourselves…often they’re worth far more than the BIG things we try to do (and accidentally overwhelm ourselves).
Small is a valuable gift and a great place to start. 💜

Happy Spring! (or Fall if you live in the Southern hemisphere) Did you know this is a potent time of year to be checking in with yourself and to look towards what you want to create (or release) next?
For many years I wasn’t aware of moments like this. Every day and every week felt like the same push, as I put pressure on myself to over-perform constantly.
Learning how to tune into the seasonal qualities and cycles around me was a huge part of my healing journey, and as a certified Ayurvedic consultant and holistic executive coach, it’s one tool I use personally and with my clients to provide an ongoing map of self-care and healthy goal setting. (Because hint: when you build in time for pause and reflection it actually makes you more productive, not less!)
So! If you’d like to join me, I wanted to leave you today with a few notes about how to make the most of these transitional times:
You might feel more energy as the sunlight increases and trees and flowers begin to blossom. Use that energy to start visioning so that you can make the most of this time!
Here are a few questions you can ask yourself:
* What big dreams and goals do you want most for yourself?
* What hasn’t been working? What can you shift or let go of that might be in the way of what you truly desire?
* In light of your goals and visions, how are you setting yourself up for success for the rest of the year? What daily/ weekly/ monthly self-care practices would be supportive?
Whatever you see for yourself, I want to boost that vision and see it come to life for you!
Let’s make 2022 all that you aspire to and more. Having support in your corner to give you a foundation of health and balance is the BEST way to ensure it happens. Click here to set up a complimentary Resilient Rising Woman Strategy Session with me, so that we can begin the process together!

We’re midway through Women’s History Month here in the US and I wanted to take a moment to celebrate and acknowledge the progress we’ve made.
In recent news, the US Women’s Soccer team has made so much progress in the equal pay lawsuit. Although there is much more progress that we need to gain, this is a much-needed step in the right direction for all women, and I strongly believe it’s important to celebrate!
Simultaneously, it’s absolutely heartbreaking to witness what’s happening in Ukraine.
We need women’s leadership out in the world more than ever! I can’t help but imagine how much less illogical war there would be if feminine leadership was in charge.
So please, keep rising as the incredible and powerful leader you are, and let’s do all we can to make this a more peaceful, equal world.
Comment if you agree!

What if it didn’t have to be a grind?
A client of mine recently expressed: “is the grind really worth it?”
She had been pushing and pushing for so long in her career and personal life, without getting to enjoy, or truly taste the fruits of her labor. (can you relate?)
Here’s the thing - If you keep pushing forward, feeling stuck in the grind of things, life will continue to feel like an unfinished race. The ironic part is, there actually is no finish line. Instead, there’s an opportunity here to get out of the singular perception of it all and find another lens to look through.
I invite you to pause, to stop running for a few moments, and to consider that maybe - just maybe - the nature of the race itself could change if you want it to.
As a first step, feel free to comment below and say “I’m pausing.” I’d love to witness you!
I believe in you - you are amazing and valuable and have so much to be appreciated for!

If you’re anything like my clients, you’re working HARD. Putting in that extra time and still showing up strong for your personal obligations.
It might seem like you have it all together on the outside, but having been there myself, and having worked with so many other women in leadership, I know what a struggle it can be on the inside - especially if it feels like you’re not being fully recognized or appreciated for all you do.
Maybe it’s getting harder to tap into your motivation in the morning. Maybe you are pushing down the stress, frustration, and anxiety by numbing out with food, alcohol, w**d, or online shopping more often than you’d like to admit. Or maybe you’ve found yourself re-watching Scandal or The Crown?…
…Maybe you second guess yourself too much, and that’s making you hesitate more than you should as a decision-maker.
When people see you as strong and ambitious, they expect the byproduct of that; trustworthy leadership and success. Whether it’s in your professional life or personal life, your well-put-together exterior can be the smoke-and-mirrors that hide what you’re going through underneath the surface.
Have you ever felt this way? Does your inner experience feel much tougher than what you let on?
Comment below if so and let’s start dropping some love and appreciation for each other. I’d love to help normalize this experience for all of us!

3 forms of exercise that perpetuate the stress cycle
I know this might be a bummer to many, but if you are deep into the stress cycle on the path to burnout - i.e. feeling exhausted, irritable, etc - you will want to avoid the following: hot yoga, cross-fit, and bootcamp style workouts. Why? They are adrenalizing! Meaning, they put your adrenal glands into high gear, releasing more stress hormones.
As much as we want to get into great shape and put our frustration into an outlet of release, these workouts can do more harm than good and further push you toward burnout.
What to choose instead?
First things first, if you’ve been sedentary for 18+ months, go slow. Ease your way into working out rather than setting strict goals that push you into overdrive.
Especially if you’re pushing forward in other areas of your life, you don’t want to add more heat to the fire. Use your physical outlets to create balance.
Here are some suggestions to try
Go for a mindful walk every day
Try gentle yoga, Tai Chi, a dance class, pilates, or a Gyrotonic session
Sign up for a virtual mat pilates class online
Go biking or swimming - two of my favorites!
Go for a hike in nature!
Don’t take my word for it. Be sure to check in with your body and yourself, and notice how you feel both before, during, and after different workouts. You’re on the way to healing the effects of stress and creating an amazing exercise plan!
Please comment below! I’d love to learn what form of exercise you’ve been doing if any, and what you might be considering after reading this post!
