We've been asked to create an online donations link towards the girls' summer camp fees. We've gone for JustGiving as we used it successfully when the Stingrays participated in this year's Loony Dook!

The girls swam the following legs:
Millie - back
Mirren - breast
Sophie - fly
Molly - free

and posted their fastest ever time of 2.46.10, finishing 8th out of 27.

We are VERY proud parents today!

And the girls are in Edinburgh!

Last year they qualified for the Scottish Schools Championships as the fastest under 12 girls relay team in Dumfries and Galloway, despite the oldest of them only being 10!

They swim twice today - free-style relay this morning and medley relay this afternoon. They're on first and the school name is already on the lane boards 🙈😍

Special thanks to Stranraer Stingrays coach Mickey Bullivant who has travelled with them to ensure they are confident in where to be and when - this is their first experience of racing in 'the Co**ie' and it's a big day for them all!

Mirren, Millie and Molly joined their campmates at Kirroughtree yesterday and completed the 7km Larg Hill trail (categorised as 'strenuous'!) in just under 3 hours.

This was a brilliant team-building exercise and allowed the girls a chance to meet people they will be training with in St Andrews next month.

Welcome to the fundraising page of the Stranraer Stingrays invited to join the Dumfries and Galloway summer swim camp in St Andrews.

Sophie, Mirren, Millie and Molly (in age order!) will be joining swimmers from Dumfries Dolphins at St Leonard's School for 48 hours of intensive pool and land-based training (and some fun activities too) in July and need to raise money towards the cost of this.

Now is YOUR chance to sponsor the Scottish Commonwealth and swimmers of the future! How amazing would it be to say you were there at the very beginning and helped them on their way to sporting greatness?!

3 of the girls are off to Kirroughtree tomorrow for a sponsored walk (Sophie can't join them on this occasion as she's competing as a Highland dancer at the Carrick Lowland Games!) If you would like to sponsor them, please get in touch!
