What an eventful week we’ve had. As the glorious weather bathed us in sunshine, we celebrated our new members with a delicious dinner on Wednesday 22nd April, and on Friday 24th, members and their guests enjoyed an evening of wine tasting and canapés.

Today marks an incredible milestone—10 years of dedicated service at Bruntsfield for resident professional Shaun McAllister. Here’s to the next decade of success and achievement!

Did you know we have two Ladies Cup trophies?

The origins of the Ladies Cup are something of a mystery. Presented to the Society in 1873, it likely followed the founding of a Musselburgh Ladies Club in 1872, when Andrew Usher created a 12-hole course on the Links for women golfers.
At some point the Cup was stolen. A replacement was bought but never used, as the original was later discovered in a junk shop and returned to the Society.

Our wine supplier, Corney & Barrow, established in 1780 and the UK’s oldest independent wine merchant, is hosting a tasting to update our wine list. Cost is £35pp and includes guided tasting of 10 vintage wines, canapés and the opportunity to purchase direct at Members only prices. Please book via IG in the member’s diary or contact the office.

Scottish Golf Tourism Week is finally here!

Megan, our Golf Operations Supervisor, and Marketing assistant Felicity, have been doing a wonderful job meeting Scottish, UK and International tour operators and sharing what makes Bruntsfield so special. Looking forward to doing it all again tomorrow!

Another busy week on the course as conditions have been perfect for turfing work at the new 11th & 17th tee sites.

11 pallets of turf laid within 2 working day.
