Edinburgh Thistle Golf Club We are one of 4 clubs to call the beautiful but challenging Braid hills home. We are a small club with a loyal player base and a fantastic social calendar.

Good afty Thistlers and friends! Jeezo what a horrible morning on the auld Braids today but the brave finalists battled on in mega wind and regular deluges of rain to finish the matches. We have 2 new names going on our championship boards after Dave Greenshields and Niall Murphy prevailed in their respective finals, bad luck to Baz and me but we will be back next year, the replay of the summer pairs was won by Malky and big John Addie! As club captain I congratulate you all and thank you for your participation šŸ˜ƒ

Morning Thistlers and friends! Been a wee while and now weā€™re well into the new golf season. This weekend the Dispatch Trophy kicks off again with 2 teams representing us this year with Thistle 1870 storming into the next round to set up a local derby against Western Golf Club. Big up to the greenstaff for getting the course looking magnificent as you can see. Look forward to keeping you all updated as the season progresses. Cheers all and ā€¦ā€¦Mon the Thistle!

Good evening Thistlers and friends! After all the dreich, damp ,cold miserable, dark months the summer season is back tomorrow!!! Although the weather isnā€™t exactly spring like we can still look forward to longer days and hopefully temperatures rising along with our handicapsā€¦.but hopefully not. As captain I just want to wish all the members a good season and the same to all our friends! Awe the best and Mon the Thistle!!!!!

Evening Thistlers and friends! First medal of the new year today and it looked very ominous weather wise before we teed off but as you can see the view from the back of the 17th green it turned into a lovely winter day! Not a bad turnout and some pretty decent scoring, stand outs were Niall and Robin with very good returns!
