After another fantastic event this year, we’re excited to make next year’s competition 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗯𝗶𝗴𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿.

𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘄, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗲’𝗹𝗹 𝘀𝗲𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲! 💥

🥋 What an incredible day at the North Lanarkshire Open!

The atmosphere in the arena was absolutely electric ⚡ – a true celebration of Taekwon-Do spirit.

We welcomed 268 competitors from 25 clubs across Belgium, England, Ireland, Norway, Scotland & Wales, and the standard was fantastic throughout.

A special mention to the top three clubs on today’s medal table:
🥇 Braveheart Martial Arts – 36 Gold, 20 Silver, 18 Bronze (74 total)
🥈 Force Taekwon-Do – 22 Gold, 16 Silver, 14 Bronze (52 total)
🥉 GMAC Martial Arts – 17 Gold, 16 Silver, 13 Bronze (46 total)

👏 Huge thanks to everyone who made the event such a success – our umpires, coaches, competitors, supporters, and especially the hardworking team who set up and de-rigged the arena. Your efforts are truly appreciated.

Tournaments are always a 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁, and this event truly showed the best of our community – from managing emotions and showing respect, to celebrating the development of every competitor, young and old. Every bout is an opportunity to learn: to celebrate victory with humility, accept defeat with dignity, and continue growing on the journey of Taekwon-Do.

🌍 A special thank you to our friends who travelled from Belgium, 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝘆, 𝗜𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱, 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 – your participation was truly appreciated, adding a new dynamic to the event. We hope to welcome you back again next year for an even bigger and better North Lanarkshire Open.

Be respectful – state your name clearly and bow as required.
Instructors must calibrate their scales on camera before checks begin.
• Scales must be 𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 with a readable display (kg).
• Height checks must use an approved 𝗦𝗘𝗖𝗔 𝘁𝘆𝗽𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗸 (cm).
