An amazing result for Luke and Maia. For those who don’t know Luke and Maia both British & Scottish number 1s many times have now committed to become full time athletes for Team Canada 🇨🇦 through their Mum Lori being a Canadian National. Why Canada 🇨🇦 simply because Canadian who finished 5th in the medal table at last weeks World Championships offer one of the best full time judo set ups in the World.
The medals won in Montreal this weekend by Luke and Maia are game changers and firmly confirm their place on the Canadian Team 🇨🇦
Every so often it’s vital to perform this weekend was one of those times.
This coupled with Sophie Woods double gold in Sweden 🇸🇪 highlights the opportunities at Sportif Judo for those who are prepared to commit to a performance lifestyle

Judo 🥋 is an incredible sport with massive highs and difficult to handle lows. These highs and lows are all part of the journey.
Yesterday Fin Allan won a silver at the CWG. His Sportif Team mate Hannah Wood should also have competed in the 52k division where she had an excellent opportunity to also medal at the event. Sadly she had to withdraw from Team Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 CW Games Team just days before the event due to injury. This is judo and to achieve those life long goals one has to power though the wins and the losses, the golden moments and the dark ones too.
Both Hannah Wood and Fin Allan are just 20 years old, they have time, 3 Olympic Games and multiple international events. The future is bright, it’s what you make it.
