Year 4 of our Festive Fixtures went down an absolute treat yesterday at Oriam, Edinburgh.

The day was dedicated to the late Jim Taylor MBE and Ian McLauchlan OBE. With both our men’s and women’s sides in action against The PIGBARIANS RFC.
Although this is our fourth year running the day, it’s the first time our women have managed to field a 15s squad (normally availability issues with regional rugby).

Our men pulled out a commanding win, surpassing the century mark on the scoreboard, against a side that fought hard until the final minute 💯

Our women also managed to hold out for the win in what was a close game from offset. Sheer will prevailed in the end when the match could have went either way! 💪🏼

For us, it was great to see 120 players in action. No easy feat the Sunday after Christmas 🎄 Also brilliant to do the double and bring home both trophies (thanks to Oak & Black for providing)🏆

Our women line up this Sunday in a game dedicated to the late Ian McLauchlan OBE. Mighty Mouse did a huge amount for the game both on and off the field. We’re honoured to dedicate our first ever women’s 15s festive match to him.

A fixture that celebrates two important figures of the game and raises vital funds for players facing life-changing injuries.
