Congratulations to Joel and Makinley, who won the silver trophy in Div B, and to James and Toby, who won bronze in Div C, at this weekend's doubles tournament.

Kate also bowled a new personal best score of 137 👏

Well done to everyone who took part and thanks to all of our coaches for their fantastic support and guidance on the lanes.

Best of luck to our 7 x Alley Cats bowlers taking part in the Scottish Youth Doubles at Murrayfield Indoor Sports Club this weekend.

Our teams are playing in Squad 1 with a 1030 roll off on Saturday morning but will need to wait until Sunday to find out the results. We will let you know if they pick up some prizes.

Well, what a weekend our Alleycats had at the Youth Nationals in Ayr this-weekend!

Huge congratulations to Makinley who swept the board with medals in all 4 event categories, including a GOLD for all events. He also achieved a personal best score of 221.

It was great to see our young bowlers back at Murrayfield for the first juniors session of 2026 this-morning.

We have lots of great sessions and competitions to look forward to this year and can't wait to see how the Alley Cats team progress.

We welcome new members to join us for our fun, friendly and inclusive sessions on a Saturday morning 11am-1pm (MISC membership is not required).

The first two sessions are completely free so please get in touch if you are interested in discovering more about this fantastic sport.

It has been a busy and exciting weekend for our Alley Cats with 6 bowlers taking part in the Youth Trios competition on Saturday morning. 🎳

On Sunday, our bowlers and family members enjoyed our annual team Christmas lunch followed by a quick dash back to MISC for the award presentations.🏆

Baz, Joel and Gregor picked up gold (scratch) and silver (handicap) in Division B.🥇🥈

Makinley, Kate and James took the bronze (handicap) in Division B.🥉

We are super proud of both teams and look forward to presenting James and Kate (who couldn't make it today) with their trophies at our last Juniors session of the year on Saturday 13th. 🎄

Congratulations to our MISC Alley Cats bowlers Danyl Cairns and Gregor Marquis on this fantastic achievement. We wish them the very best of luck as they start their training with the national team 🎳 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Juniors was back this-morning after a couple of weeks break due to international rugby matches 🏉.

The Alley Cats practiced their competition game play followed by a great session, led by Calvin, focusssing on the importance of adopting a growth mindset in bowling 🧠.

As ever, the session concluded with the 'chairs' game which is now the 'standing' game as we can't drag chairs onto the new lane approaches without getting in lots of trouble with the club 😆.

And finally Baz and Joel reunited for the all important team photo with their trophies from last weekends doubles competition 👏.

Very well done to Joel and Baz who won 3rd place in the Youth Doubles (Div B) over the weekend at L.A Bowl and congratulations to Danyl who played in his first adult competition alongside our very own Euan Coote. They also won the 3rd place trophy (Div B).
