Gilmerton Miners Welfare Bowling Section

Yesterday seen our first finals single hand competition of the season. It was a family affair in the Welfare Final, father vs son, Peter vs David.
After a close game it all came down to 1 shot in the end and father was victorious. They both face each other again in our Presidents 2 bowl in September.

It wasn’t to be yesterday at finals day for CISWO Midlothian Miners League Knockout. The ladies triple was beaten by a cm in the last end, would’ve been easier if it was a foot. Never mind always next year. Congratulations to all the winners and well done to Bilston Bowling Club for hosting and to Isabel Brown and Callum More for running a great day.

Wins for our gents single hand, gents triples and ladies triples tonight, sees them qualify for finals day on Saturday 22nd August.
Unfortunately our mixed pairs lost out by 1 shot after it went to an extra end.

After 11yrs of no competition, the Ladiea Club Championship round robin came to a conclusion today. Congratulations to Gillian Wales⁩ and Cara Archibald on reaching the final which will be played on Saturday 12th September. All ladies have had a lovely weekend.

Massive Congratulations to our friends, Wallyford Miners Club ladies fours of Eilidh, Audrey, Chloe and Lucy on winning the National Championships final at Ayr this afternoon. Amazing achievement 🏆 🍾🥂. Well done girls 👏👏
