A very windy day at the Falkirk Stadium Community Pitch as the team welcomed Stirling Albion Whites for another important league fixture.
The team started slowly and took around 10 minutes to settle into the game, but once they got going, they were excellent to watch.
Freya opened the scoring after 20 minutes with a lovely finish, chipping the ball over the Stirling keeper. Just two minutes later, she was on the scoresheet again, finding the back of the net from the left side of the box to double our lead.
Some of the football in that first half was excellent, with the team playing some fantastic football despite the very windy conditions, and we went into the break 2-0 ahead.
The second half was all about hard work. The team dug in, worked incredibly hard without the ball and showed real determination to protect their lead and pick up all three points.
When Stirling pulled one back in the 79th minute, there was no panic from the Blues. The team stayed composed, kept doing the simple things and worked together right until the final whistle.
A fantastic team performance today, with three very valuable points to show for it 💙⚽️
