What people think being a yoga teacher is... vs. what being a yoga teacher actually is. I draw stick figures for a living 🤦🏻♀️🤣
Hi Yogis!

Hanumanasana, or Monkey Pose development with this morning. Leila works hard with her strength training during the week, and uses yoga once a week to increase her range of movement and reduce the risk of injury, build more functional strength and ultimately lift more! The physical practice of yoga has many benefits.
1:1 and 1:2 sessions are available at £30 per hour. PM the page for more information! 🧘🏻♂️🧘🏻♀️
Sorry for being a little quiet the last week yogis - it’s been a mad ol’ busy week! And on that note, our point of discussion this week is on self care - and how to avoid feeling overwhelmed when things get too much.
Yoga is a great way to find stillness when life becomes stressful. It helps you relax, find escape from the things that can stress and overwhelm us, and also help us to be in a better mindset for when we must break that escape and return to the reality of our busy lives. However, here are a few extra tips to get you through those overwhelming moments:
🧠 Create an action plan for what to do if you feel overwhelmed or stressed. Do this while you are in a good head space and feeling productive.
🧠 Lean on someone close to you - whether that’s a rant, or inviting them over for a cup of tea and dinner, and a hand to help clear out your kitchen cupboards!
🧠 Tick off a few nice, easy tasks from the to do list. You’ll feel productive as well as gain a sense of achievement 🤩
🧠 Remember, everyone has periods where they feel like this - you aren’t alone!
See if you can apply a few of these points to the rest of your week, get you over the hump and ready for a restful weekend!
Enjoy guys ❤️
Yoga can be used not only as a tool for flexibility, mental resilience and breathing regulation, but also as a workout in itself. Here was a quick snippet of my core training using headstand and pike techniques. Although this is a more advanced sequence, it’s just one example of how yoga isn’t always about relaxing, but about building strength too!
Good morning yogis!
Looking forward to seeing you all for classes on Saturday!
To keep you going in the meantime, here is a follow along demonstration of Sun Salutation A, or Surya Namaskara A. Our bread and butter of yoga flows - it is great for building shoulder strength and flexibility, stretching off the hamstrings, opening up the chest and focusing on the breath.
Try it at the start or end of your workout or yoga practice!
