As a new chapter is about to begin for junior hockey here in Edinburgh we are already looking ahead to season 2026-2027 and are now recruiting new players.

We will be looking to add players to all age groups from U10 through to U19.

If you’re the type of player who wants the opportunity to lead and raise the standards, then we want to hear from you. Edinburgh Capitals Academy is a fun, safe, inclusive environment.

There is a clear pathway for players who want to keep pushing their game. Kids as young as U16’s can make the step up to senior hockey if ready to do so.

We are delighted to announce that the transition from Murrayfield Junior Ice Hockey Club to Edinburgh Capitals Academy is now complete.

This move marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter, bringing significant benefits for our players and families, including:

✅ Reduced monthly fees to make ice hockey more accessible for everyone.

✅ Increased ice availability, providing more opportunities for training, development, and game experience.

✅ A clear player development pathway from Learn to Play, through all junior age groups, and ultimately into Senior National League (SNL) hockey.

Our vision is to create a complete academy structure that supports players at every stage of their hockey journey, helping them develop their skills, confidence, and love for the game in a positive and professional environment.

We would like to thank all players, parents, volunteers, coaches, and supporters who have helped build the foundations of junior hockey in Edinburgh. We are excited to continue that journey together as Edinburgh Capitals Academy.

The future is bright. The pathway is clear. The next chapter starts now 🦁

Well that is it all done and dusted. Murrayfield Juniors played their last ever games over the weekend at the Ronnie Miller Memorial Tournament.

Both our U12’s and U16’s saw their seasons out as well as a couple of our U14’s playing with Scotland.

Well done to CMac and Blaine on being selected for the All Star team at U16 👏🏼

Our season concludes this weekend when our U12’s and U16’s head to North Ayr for the Ronnie Miller Tournament.
