Fab clinic at Woodend Riding Centre last night! Everyone did such a great job and wonderful to see everyone challenge themselves. Great job!

Here’s a photo of one of the layouts. This one is great for working on rhythm, suppleness , accuracy and straightness!

Raising the poles on the outside of a curve encourages reach and range of movement in the outside forelimb.

This exercise stretches the latissimus dorsi and forelimb retractor muscles, increases the range of movement in the shoulder and elbow joints.

It is also useful for helping straighten a horse with asymmetrical forelimb movement.

Love this little diamond layout! So easy to layout but with so many different options to ride over it!

Always think about giving with your hands when riding over poles.

•Push towards the horses mouth
•Think of a soft elastic contact
•Try not to hold or force an outline
•Let the horse use, stretch and lengthen their neck to balance especially if young
•By relaxing your elbows and arms this will encourage the horse to stretch his neck and back and let the hind legs step through and under the tummy further
